5.0 out of 5 stars Release The Laserdisc Version On DVD PLEASE?!!!!!!!!!!
Being that I went to 2 Devotional concerts, this video really measures up to just how great they were.

To those who don't know, the laserdisc version of Devotional includes 4 additional songs (Behind The Wheel, Mercy In You, Fly On The Windscreen, & Everything Counts), but even with those songs added, the film is still 3 songs shy of a complete concert (Policy Of...

3.0 out of 5 stars Missing Vital Songs
I first got into Depech mode a few years ago. Since I have become an avid collector of there material. The person who turned me on to Depeche Mode had this concert but he had the Japanese version. I ordered this video and was disappointed to find that five songs were cut out including "EVERYTHING COUNTS" which if you saw the Japanese video or concert you...

5.0 out of 5 stars Release The Laserdisc Version On DVD PLEASE?!!!!!!!!!!, July 21, 2001
This review is from: Devotional [VHS] (VHS Tape)
Being that I went to 2 Devotional concerts, this video really measures up to just how great they were.

To those who don't know, the laserdisc version of Devotional includes 4 additional songs (Behind The Wheel, Mercy In You, Fly On The Windscreen, & Everything Counts), but even with those songs added, the film is still 3 songs shy of a complete concert (Policy Of Truth & Halo are missing and Death's Door is only present during the end credits, when it actually was performed right after Judas). I sometimes wonder why Devotional was not released in Compact Disc form? Instead what we got was Songs Of Faith & Devotion LIVE, which just gives us live versions of all the songs from SOFAD and nothing else.

To Warner Brothers, please release this masterpiece on DVD, as well as all the other DM films. Fans are hungry for better picture and sound quality, and considering that depeche mode are more popular than ever, now is the perfect time to make these DVD versions available to us.

Stay Devoted!

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the decade's best rock tours, captured on video., September 28, 1999
By
This review is from: Devotional [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This video captures Depeche Mode at their creative peak, as they embarked on the 15-month, 150-show Devotional Tour. The tour started brilliantly in Europe and steamrollered through the USA, selling out nearly every venue...but at the end of the monster outing, the band was exhausted, drugged out, and ready to call it a day. Fortunately, Anton Corbijn caught a few of the tour's early performances on film. No one who saw the Devotional Tour will ever forget it: Corbijn's stunning visuals, Dave's unabashed rock-star antics, Alan's thunderous drumming, and Martin's bluesy guitar riffs. It was the best moment in the band's long and compelling career.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing !, June 13, 2000

This review is from: Devotional [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This is the best concert you'll see and hear, believe me... I've seen many DM concerts in video, but when I saw "Devotional" my mind simply exploted...I had the concert in CD already but the Anton's vision shows the amazing performance like something sacred. You will suffer with Dave with "Condemnation", fly with "Never let me down again" and suffer once again with "In your room". If you're a DM fan, this video will be a trasure in your collection...if you're not, then this is a good reason to be.

5.0 out of 5 stars WE NEED THIS ON DVD DTS STYLE!!!, August 31, 2003
This review is from: Devotional [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This is the peak of Depeche Mode. Their work before this were all steps up and everything after steps down. Im a big fan of the Andrew Wilder DM. Too bad for the group he's not around. Not only is this their BEST tour (saw Music For the Masses tour and the Violater tour its their tour for their most amazing album.
Aside from them being at their best, its the most beautiful shot and directed concert I've ever seen. Ive been searching high and low for this on DVD cause I lost my VHS copy and its not availible.

Thats a damn crime. As an act of protest I will not by the vhs cuase im way too into dvd sound now. I'm just gonna pray this comes out on DVD.

5.0 out of 5 stars When will the critics learn?, January 24, 2000

Depeche Mode are -hands down- one of the best live bands of the past 20 years. Forget all of the preconceived "synth-pop" notions, and watch this video to see what rock and roll could have been. DM's most recent tour may have been outstanding and filled with nostalgia, but nothing can ever really top Devotional.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great COncert but bad marketing handling, March 20, 2004
This review is from: Devotional [VHS] (VHS Tape)
I've been a fan of Dm for more than a decade. i've seen some of their tours and i can safely say Devotional is their best tour. Great vocals, great sets, great video captures, great everything!!!! the only bad thing is that its long overdue for a dvd release.

On a side notice, they have to release videos of other tours like the world violation tour or the black celebration tour.

The company who has the rights here owe it to the fans. Dm fans have followed them faithfully. its about time that same faith is returned.

GIVE ME THE FULL FOOTAGES OF THE BLACK CELEBRATION, VIOLATION, AND DEVOTIONAL TOUR!!!!!!!! AND MAKE IT FAST!!!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Devotional is an excellent pick if you're a DM fan!, December 28, 1999

This review is from: Devotional [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This CD rocks all the way through, and is DM raw all the way through. What's awesome is they have a lot of the older songs mixed with a few of their newer ones that are in the same caliber.

5.0 out of 5 stars Oh Yeah-This is the good stuff, October 29, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Devotional [VHS] (VHS Tape)
I saw the tour both times it came to St. Louis and now every time that i watch the video i get to relive the sensation that i felt at the show. Superb audio and video production gave this video its success. Playful camera work also showed Anton's creative genius coming through once again. There was no better way to end their greatest tour of all time than to let us all relive it one more time.

5.0 out of 5 stars Superb "Live" Video, June 19, 1998
This review is from: Devotional [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This is a great first look at DM. If you love the band, you will love this video. It is all from the "Songs of Faith and Devotion" album tour. Dave belts out all the songs with such emotion and energy, you just want to get up and dance with him;-) END
