I never felt The Holy Spirit come to me like this before! I love the whole CD! I'm playing it AGAIN :D and again and again and again.....

Devotions is just what the title suggests - a compilation of short devotions with a song following it that pertains to that devotion. The devotions themselves are Michael reading that particular passage. Devotions was released in 2001.

Overall this is a good idea and the music is good for I gave it 5 stars. This is what I'd call a 'weak' 5 star, however, because of the usability. In other words, if you spend your hard earned cash you want to get good use out of it. There are 5 good passages and 5 good songs so it's up to you if you think you'll get enough use out of the passages or songs to warrant the money. For me, I find that I don't listen to it as much as his other albums.

This is a wonderful CD. It came as a gift with the purchase of "Worship" by Michael W. Smith, and so is now out-of-print, but if you can find it used, I recommend buying it. It combines the reading of Scripture with 5 anointed worship songs. We had a tape of it that we listened to constantly, and when we found this used, bought it immediately. The music and Scripture combine to take you on a escalating worship experience from adoration all the way into the Throne Room.
