I love the Dexter show as well as the books, granted this toy is based off of the fictional character based on Dexter (who is also a fictional character) in the second season of the Showtime series "The Dark Defender". Growing up I was scared I would never have an excuse to buy an action figure again and alas now I have. It is made of quality plastic, the only drawback was the attention to fine detail like making Dexter look like Michale C Hall since the action figure is from the show that he plays on, but I still think it is an awesome toy for adults.
