These knives are made from a high grade 1095 tool steel. It frustrates me when people refuse to care for their knives properly, then call the knife junk. The bottom line is this...if you clean, dry and oil your knife manually after you use it, and not leave it in a dishpan of water or put it in the dishwasher, it will last a lifetime. I still have Grandma's butcher knife and it's worn, but still very sharp, functional and one of my favorites.

Verified Purchase
Once water touches it, it rusts. Obviously not stainless or good quality. Amazon will not allow a return. Would not purchase again
