Product Description

From Children's Software Revue® -- "Subscribe Now!"

Dexter is getting ready for the science fair, and he must complete six arcade- like feats to get his project ready. Dexter is not the most appealing character with his stereotyped Russian-ish accent and a VERY bad attitude toward his sister, Dee Dee. When she knocks over his science experiment, Dexter shouts, "This is not for feeble minds such as yours, Dee Dee. Look what you have done, you STUPID WOMAN." Yes, he really says that. The best features of the program are its clear graphics and quick responsivity. The pace of the games is fast (even too speedy) and the graphics are comparable to that of the Cartoon Network's Dexter's Laboratory show. Testers could barely keep up, however, with the too-difficult games. Most of them couldn't finish even the first level as they tried to guide Dexter through obstacles to collect science experiment blueprints. Kids can print their favorite Dexter pictures but this option is not enough to warrant a purchase.

Amazon.com Product Description

Duck and dive through action-packed levels of fun and science Dexter style, all the while defying Dee Dee, his meddling sister. In Dexter's Laboratory: Science Ain't Fair, you'll build your own robots and test their power against Computer. But you'll have to use both brains and brawn to get your prize, because, hey, science ain't fair. Between experiments, you can capture your Dexter's Laboratory adventures in an in-game comic book, or choose from a host of special items, including masks, badges, stickers, door signs, and more, to print.

Throughout, you play as Dexter, the diminutive, red-headed boy genius who lives with his mom, dad, and big sister Dee Dee in a quiet suburban neighborhood. Hidden away in Dexter's bedroom is his fully equipped laboratory, where he figures out everything from how to thwart bullies to saving the world. His big sister couldn't care less about science, preferring instead to be an adorable ballerina. But, given the opportunity, Dee Dee doesn't mind throwing a wrench into her brilliant brother's benevolent plans.

2.0 out of 5 stars Science Really Ain't Fair, June 8, 2006
This review is from: Dexter's Laboratory: Science Ain't Fair (CD-ROM)
As a fan of dexter when i was young, i wanted to buy this game, true, i did enjoy it back when, but now i really look at it. There is one puzzle that can be extremely annoying in this game, there is no way to save your progress while doing one of the games. I still can not figure out one of the puzzles. But only one of them. If you're going to buy this, be sure to buy it used. It was not that enjoyable. The only things nice are the print station where you can print things, and the mini games, the main games are awfull, with one being so-so, but pitifull. All in all, as a fan of dexter, the print station is worth buying the game, otherwise, stay clear of this game.
