One of my favourites, August 22, 2000
This review is from: Dezra's Quest (Dragonlance Bridges of Time, Vol. 5) (Mass Market Paperback)
This is one of my favourite DL-books! The storyline was great, great characters, I even liked Dezra though I disagreed with her alot...:-) She had a personality, and so had everyone else!
To the people who couldn't tolerate her: why do you always focus on the negative sides? Yes she was bitchy, SOMETIMES, but think about the time when she stood alone beside the funeral-pyre. (I'll not tell which character lay on it, because not all of you have read it..) I think Dezra was the kind of person who disliked showing real emotions, she was very careful about showing her inner self, and always wanted to look tough on the outside.
There so much good about this book. The tragic fate of the satyr (I'll not tell his name either..), and the races; centaurs and dryads. Dryads has to be my favourite race. And there were lots of clever ideas and situations in this great book!
My favourite characters in this book were, without doubt, Borlos the Bard and Pallidice the dryad. Need I say more?
I also liked Trephas, Olinia, Eucleia (ashamed to say, I don't remember her exact name, but I mean the grey centaur chieftess..:->) and everyone one else in this book. I surely recommend it!

Dezra's Quest is one of my favorite dragonlance books., August 24, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Dezra's Quest (Dragonlance Bridges of Time, Vol. 5) (Mass Market Paperback)
Dezra's quest is one of my favorite dragonlance books, mainly because I like to read of the adventures of Caramon Majere, but the other characters like Dezra and Borlos and Pallidice are what give you the feeling of really knowing the characters. I also really enjoyed the creatures in this book, which range from centaurs to dryads to sprites to the evil skorenoi and Grimbough, the evil tree. There was even a Golem, which was a welcomed addition in my opinion. My feeling was that the way the characters and races were portrayed was what gave them meaning to me.
In conclusion, the reason I liked the book was because of how well Chris Pierson brought the characters to life in my mind, how he portrayed the little seen centaurs, and the wide variety of creatures.

what happened to chris pirsons writing, November 1, 2000
This review is from: Dezra's Quest (Dragonlance Bridges of Time, Vol. 5) (Mass Market Paperback)
Chris piersons first dragon lance novel was excellent, this on the other hand was forced, the charactors are dull and the plot desperate, there are nice touches but they are not enough. I would like to see Mr Pierson do some more, spirit of the wind was excellent.
