Me? Randonneur, Portland, Oregon, downtube shifters. Also good for fixie/singlespeed or barends. Bought these to replace the same item, worn out after 20 years and probably about 40,000 miles. Very reliable. Lots of use: I stop for stop signs! Arrived with the required ferrules. Felt heavy coming out of the box, but weighed them and compared their weight (247g pair) with the listed weights on another retail site that sells many brands. Found these weigh less than or same as anything except the carbon fiber units, which cost much more. If you are used to the broader platform of a STI/ergo "brifter" unit, shop around and you'll find units that provide the feel of the brifter, but you'll pay more and they'll weigh more. Install tip: When taping the cable housing to the bars, before final bar tape, apply brakes very tightly (hold with toeclip strap, or twine) to force thorough seating/alignment of the ferrule within the body, which ensures correct positioning of housing along bar.

Solid little aero lever by Dia-compe. Nothing special, but highly effective.
It looks good on my 70's Raleigh road bike, for which some of the newer, larger levers would never look quite right.

These levers came without ferrules. Without them, the brake housing gets pulled into the front part of the lever. Nowhere in the product page does it say that you need to buy a Dia Compe 95 oversized ferrule to keep this from happening -- normal sized brake housing ferrules just pull through with the housing. I ended up having to use an old pair of Tektro levers that I had instead.
