I had to custom cut my brake cables for a custom cabling run that included "frame terminations" where the brake cable drops the housing at the front for the frame, runs a bare wire, then resumes housing towards the end of the frame. I had to use several of these, worked perfectly.

I got these because I installed new cables for my bike and the supplied cables only came with 2 ferrules, when I needed far more than that. Thankfully these worked perfect.

The original pack I bought got lost in the mail. I contacted the seller and within 1 day contacted me telling me that they had checked the tracking and it had been lost. They immediately sent me a replacement. I was very impressed with this seller. I haven't actually used the ferrule yet but they appear to be quite good.
