Freud Router Bits are known for their exceptional quality, unmatched precision and maximum cutting life. The bits are carefully crafted using the best materials, the industry's most sophisticated manufacturing processes, and include exclusive Freud features such as TiCo Hi-Density Carbide and red Perma-SHIELD non-stick coating. Freud's bits also contain revolutionary, innovative designs such as Quadra-Cut and Double-Grind.
Freud's new Premier Solid Carbide bit series delivers 2x the cutting life and finish quality of current bits on the market. These bits combine a unique high performance open flute design, advanced precision grind technology and specific TiCo Hi-Density carbide to provide the most productive and cost effective solid carbide bits on the market today.
TiCo Hi-Density carbide is a specially formulated, highly compact Titanium Cobalt Carbide engineered and manufactured by Freud to maximize performance on all Freud cutting tools. Designed in Freud research and development laboratories, Freud's TiCo Hi-Density carbide is scientifically developed using Titanium Carbide, Cobalt and Tungsten (as well as proprietary elements), to produce a supreme product. Carbide size is extremely important when it comes to sharpness as well as the rate at which an edge wears. The larger the carbide grain, the faster an edge will wear. While standard carbides measure as large as 5 microns, and an advanced micrograin carbide can measure 1 micron, Freud's TiCo Hi-Density Carbide is miniscule in comparison at 0.8 microns, with a laminate blend as small as 0.4 microns.
It's good at dados in hardwoods, but I haven't tried it in one pass going 3/4" deep. I plan on making a grid of 20mm holes with this by plunging, I haven't tried yet, so that... Read morePublished 1 month ago by Graham Jarman

I'm glad I was able to find a 1" cutter with a 1/4" shank. It worked like a charm, very satisfied with it.Published 1 month ago by Robert Schwar
The bit itself seems to be of very high quality. It makes a very smooth and even cut. I have only used it on about 10 linear feet of cut, so I do not know how well it will hold an... Read morePublished 2 months ago by ray gillis
