Diabetes Control:Cookbook and Diet Guide for Diabetics, December 11, 1999
This review is from: Diabetes Control: Cookbook & Diet Guide for Diabetics (Paperback)
I realize I may be a bit prejudiced, being the niece of the author, but I found his book very easy to follow. It made a lot of sense for anyone who needs to cut down on their sugar and eat healthy. The recipes are very tasty and one can see how he changed the standard recipes into ones that a diabetic can safely eat. This can help anyone work with their own favorite recipes to transform them into diabetic friendly dishes. But most importantly he gives you a guide to how to control your blood sugar to enable you to not have to use as much, if any insulin. Many of my friends have this book and have raved about how great the recipes and guides are. Some were not diabetic but just wanted to eat healthy and lose weight. It makes a perfect gift for anyone who needs to watch their sugar.

This is a fantastic book if you wish to control your diabetes through diet and want to lessen or eliminate your dependency on drugs. Over 500 recipes that are easy to follow, and it is surprising how many traditional recipes can be converted to be diabetic-friendly! Even desserts!Really a new way to look at diabetes, and it's about time!
