Christina A. Staccia, is one of the longest living healthy infantile onset diabetics in the world today. After being diagnosed with diabetes at just over one year of age, she has been living with the disease every since. In this book, Christina shares both personal and professionals accounts of successfully managing the disease for nearly 50 years. Children, as well as, adults will benefit from common sense tips that she provides for staying healthy. You will learn about her near bout with total blindness, kidney failure, only being able to digest baby food, and other complications that through the principals of this book were miraculously reversed. Christina has served as a public speaker, educator, personal and vocational rehabilitation counselor specializing in serving persons with diabetes. She has overcome challenges of diabetes, thus inspiring her to found a company and open a diabetes resource center that is devoted to helping others with the disease and other disabilities lead a full life.
