Very simple, informative book for a newly diagnosed person with diabetes - it helps to allay many immediate fears and concerns. Also a good review book for those who have struggled with the disease for some time as doubts and fears creep back into our world. Very basic book so if you are looking for in-depth discussions and journal quotes, this is not for you. It does provide the bottom line essentials of diabetes management for every PWD and should be followed with further research and discussions with your medical team on your own personal needs.

Wish I had known it was the Canadian verion. All the numbers are in metric. Rather irritating to have to convert everything. Otherwise, the book has great info.
