A "must read" for all diabetics,

I have been diabetic for 28 years and living in fear of my uncertain future. Dr. Goodmans book addressed the misconceptions about this disease one step at a time. His words were reassuring and essential for every Diabetic to read. Diabetics cannot tolerate so much misinformation about the horrors of Diabetes. Thank you Dr. Goodman for being a voice of reason and allowing me to visualize a bright future for me and my family!There was only one part in the book where I was disappointed in the views of Dr. Goodman. He said "patients should avoid using an insulin pump for the time being". I have been utilizing an insulin pump for a year and a half and I have never felt better in my life. It has given me the freedom that non-diabetics enjoy and I feel great. I HIGHLY recommend the insulin pump for those people that are intensely managing their diabetes. |
