As a long time customer and fan of Chef Franklin Becker, I can attest to the marvelous creations from the various restaurants he has led. They are simple, but yet contain complex tastes with every biteful.

Now I have a glimpse into his recipes and cooking techniques. The book is simple and straight forward without a lot of fluff. Unlike other big city restaurant recipe books, these recipes are achievable at home AND best of all they are heatlthy. Go figure - tasty and healthy!! As a result, my cooking skills have improved as I aspire to cook fractionally as well as Chef Becker!

Franklin - thank you for sharing!

5.0 out of 5 stars Finally a cook book with a purpose, May 2, 2005
This review is from: Diabetic Chef - More Than 80 Simple But Spectacular Recipes From One Of New York City's Top Chefs (Hardcover)
Loved this book. It does break the paradigm that Diabetics cannot enjoy excellent food and raises the knowledge about what you can eat even when you want to go to a 5 stars restaurant.
It is not flashy, therefore without photos, but actually a working book going to the "meat" of the issue.
Loved it. Looking forward to more.
