I was skeptical about purchasing a Superchip or Diablosport. I had a Jet 2 chip plug in and saw a little performance but not what the tuners claim to give.
I ended up making the purchase after watching the video from Diablosport. Easy to install! Be sure to download the latest version upgrade for you tuner before installing! It will give you specific instructions for you vehicle as well.
I have a 2006 Dodge Charger R/T with Magnaflow exhaust and Volant cold air. With that said I was able to select my fuel type and that I have a cold air and after a few minutes, the upload to my charger was complete.
Now, here was my first reaction to this upload.
I came out of a parking lot after programming my car onto a 50 mph 8 lane road. With my ESP on, I floored it turning onto the road and it was the first time I actually smoked the tires with ESP on. The car literally launched, the sound of the exhaust was shear power bass, and the shifts through gears were instant. I was laughing as I flew down this road hitting 80mph in no time!
What is also so wonderful about this tuner is you can continue to upgrade with downloads from your PC and enter your own special data to tune to your cars specifics.
My only complaint would be that I am a MAC user and it took me some time to get to a PC and get the download. Other than that, A+

After updating my Challenger to a new cam my performance store said I'd need this tuner (U7135) to optimize my cars tune. The shop used this and I received the car with great performance except it couldn't change the automatic transmission shift points. After 6 weeks an update came out for the tuner to adjust the transmission shifts points so I downloaded the new software (crom). While trying new adjustments my tuner stopped working. Now I have to return it but their policy states I must reinstall the original stock tune to the car before warranty work can be done to the tuner tool. That would be fine if the tuner worked but it doesn't. Waiting for a response via email customer support as how to proceed. Responses are slow and unspecific, in other words - poor customer support. I will update if I ever get this tool repaired. Also, if your car goes into the dealership, you must reinstall the original software to your car or you could loose your warranty.
Note, a seperate power supply and serial to USB adapter cord is needed to connect this tool to your home computer for new updates.

Really, they should just hand these out when selling cars. Except that using this device requires an attention to detail that most consumers of modern vehicles just don't have. If you've used specialized product-specific interface devices before, this isn't too different. If not, you have a steep learning curve in front of you. Once you're ready, though, the DiabloSport Predator puts tuning the car back in the hands of the car owner. I grew up working on my family's cars, but as cars became ever more complex and computer-driven, I grew disinterested in them (and this is from someone who builds his own computers). I decided to renew my interest when I bought my Magnum R/T, and the Predator has been a large part of that. Thank you DiabloSport.

I used this programmer along with my K&N Cold Air Injection system and I have just two words for you--Vroom Vroom. It was very easy to installed, great support, a very good product.

This is a simple way to re-tune your vehicle. In my 2009 Challenger, it took about 6 or 7 minutes to upgrade the tune to the 91 Octane version. Lots of options if you want to customize it, but the basic options were all I needed. It saves your factory tune so that you can return to it for dealer service or you're selling the car.

I use 93 octane gasoline just to be safe. The car is much more crisp on the low end, but I did not notice any difference on the top end. MPG stayed about the same with maybe a slight increase (less than a 1 mpg change).

On the negative side, the manual is horrible. You can download the manual directly from the manufacturer's website to see what I mean.

Visit the manufacturer website and make sure you're selecting the correct model DiabloSport for your vehicle.

In summary, buy this product if:
1) You don't care about a 12% loss in fuel economy for an uncertain amount of power gain
2) You plan on using it to load a custom tune after you shell out money to a CRM tuner to create you a custom tune.
3) Being able to update the callibration files in your PCM without taking it to the dealership for a half day makes the purchase worth it. You do want the calibration updates. They fix little bugs and glitches in your cars performance. Or if you want to adjust the fan settings.

Also, consider that their support person in the forums only answers simple questions. Anything technical, he tells you to go see a professional or makes snarky comments. Not very helpful.

I have a 2009 Dodge Challenger SRT8 with the manual transmission. As an FYI, manual transmissions allow more power to make it to your wheels compared to automatic for the tradeoff of introducing manual shifts. The side effect of that is better fuel economy in all situations over the auto. I'd already installed a cold air intake (CAI). I went with the K&N Aircharger Off-Road Kit part 63-1114. That alone gave me more power and 1 more MPG highway. With the CAI, I was getting about 26.5mpg highway slightly above sea level on the east coast in 72 degree temperatures.

I bought the Predator U7135 for my 2009 Dodge Challenger SRT8. This was my first time buying a tuner. All tuners including this one advertise as better power and better fuel economy due to efficiency increases. Sounded logical to me.

Looking through all the data logging and tune tweaking options, I'm very impressed. If you know what the hell all that stuff means, you'll love those features. If you don't have a clue, good luck finding helpful tutorials. Everyone gets uppety and telly you to just go to a shop and pay a professional to do it for you. Elitist attitude.

I ran with the "93 octane + CAI" canned tune it includes and increased throttle response by 20%. I really loved the responsiveness provided by throttle boost. Although I'm not sure if I got more power from the tune, I suspect so. The car seems to run smoother.

Only problem was that fuel economy tanked. I tested back to back to compare different tunes. Counting 180lbs for myself and about 70 lbs in the trunk. Nearly full tank of 91 octane. 72 degrees outside (Compared to high 90s when I first installed the CAI). Flat highway, 65-70MPH in 6th gear.

Stock tune = 26.5MPG
"91 octane and CAI" canned tune = 23.5MPG
"MPG Booster" canned tune = 24.5MPG

I ran datalogs and saw no significant knock retard. End result is that I ran on stock tune with fan settings modified for the 180 degree thermostat.

I then had my car CMR tuned. With a custom tune, the car feels much better and I'm seeing same highway MPG as the stock tune. CAI + CMR tune measured 450hp at the flywheel. That's 25hp over stock. The difference in smoothness is like night and day.

The tuner did exactly as said it would. Added horsepower and torque to my Challenger R/T with the push of a button. I couldn't believe how responsive the throttle was once I installed one of their custom tunes. Seriously, the car throws my head backwards now when I floor it. This is with a 6 speed manual. I do have a cold air intake too... in case you were wondering.

For reference, there were six different performance tunes to choose from:
93 octane
93 octane with cold air intake
91 octane
91 octane with cold air intake
Gas saving tune
Modify default tune.

The custom settings to modify the default tune were interesting, they let you dial in several things that I'm not quite ready to mess around with.)

The install was not easy or simple however... things you should be aware of:

You need to buy the included cable to update the tuner and/or update your cars default tune before you can do any customizing.

Installation of the driver for the cable on Windows 7 64bit just wont work. Trust me on this... don't even bother trying. I'm a huge computer geek and tried everything... You'll find tons of posts all over the internet about not being able to get this thing to work on Windows 7. My solution? Used a computer running Vista 32 to install the cable and update, it worked first try with no hastle, reboots, reinstalls, different drivers, etc.. Save yourself a headache and do it this way.

All in all. I'm satisfied despite the problems I encountered. This thing is Sweet.

Must have for all Hemi owners. Update is a little tricky. Install is simple. Results are instant.
GREAT PRODUCT

I received this item, which was supposed to be compatible with my car. I tried to program the car and found out it needed an update. The item didn't come with a data cable for the computer so I had to purchase one separately. Makes no sense why an item is sold, but can't be used until you buy another item!!!

After downloading Diablo for my car, I felt she just woke up and it is nothing can
can stop it. It Gave the car a much better performance and more power in addition to that you can change many settings as you wish.
