Sinister is one of my favorite death metal bands and this album is nothing more than a classic. It's very heavy, very brutal, very aggressive not to mention very dark and evil at the same time. This is an album that will scare the pants out of a poperatzi and leave a Teliban army devestated if left playing on some giant PC system somewhere in the Aftganistan desert. Some of my favorites here are Leviathan, Magnified Wrath, Sense Of Demise, Sadistic Intent and Diabolical Sommoning. This is a mandatory purchase. So get it and get beaten to a pulp. Trust me, you won't know what hit you.

Sinister get better with every album, but their style is what makes them so great. They are all talented musicians, but the way they can pull off the extreme timing changes, and still keep the music so heavy and clear is AMAZING!! If you haven't heard Sinister check it out.

This album has everything a death metal fan would want. Various beats in each song, an excellent voaclist, who has a good and deep tone instead of high and scratchy like some. The quality itself is not bad. If you love hard and intense death, you'll love this group. I personally own all releases by them. They improve with every release. This band is excellent for my style of tasteful death metal. Some bands, you can't distinguish the music from the vocals sometimes. With this group though, you never have to worry about that, they know what they are doing.

Own the original. Original was low sounding and the remaster adds more loudness and the guitars, drums and Mike's vocals really sound much better. My fave sinister album of all time. Super brutal death metal, finally Colin Richardson's awesome production comes through sounding better than ever on this remaster. Saw them live on this tour w/cannibal corpse back in the day. Diabolical Summoning is super brutal and crushes.

This is a truly solid slab of old skool death. Pick it up if you like stuff that is chock full of blast beats and sick vox.

Brutality, coolness, and butality. The blast beats are perfect. The only flaw is the production sounds muffled. Buy it!!!!!!!!!!

...that was all I could think when I first heard this album. This is by far some of the best death metal in existence, on par with the likes of Suffocation and Vomitory. The vocals on this disc are perfect and flawless. The vocals here are what I consider to be the true epitome and definition of death metal vocals. The musicianship is awesome, and the technicality is icing on the cake. Now, when I say this band is technical, I'm not trying to liken them to say Origin or Cryptopsy (since both of those bands blow these guys away when ONLY looking at technicality) because the focus of this band is NOT the technicality, just the overall sound. The technicality is simply a wonderful bonus. My favorite songs on here are easily "Leviathan" and "Desecrated Flesh", although honestly every song on here is worthy of praise. The intro on "Sense of Demise" is great, and it's cool how the drummer keeps the same kind of beat throughout the entire song. The songs on this disc are also relatively long (approx. 4 minutes or more) so the goodness just goes on and on. The drumming is some of the best I've heard for death metal in this vein, and the fact that there actually ARE guitar solos and other such musical treats make this album an absolute MUST for fans of death metal. If you like Suffocation and Vomitory then you HAVE to check these guys out! I very highly recommend this to fans of the genre. ...
