Dr. Waters has written a very accessible and useful book for understanding most symptoms of Parkinson's Disease. This book helped my family care for my father by helping us to ask good questions, avoid useless treatments and apply effective strategies. She is very thorough, clear and concise.

5.0 out of 5 stars Accessible and Helpful, December 22, 2011

This sixth edition book published by Dr. Waters is a great tool for understanding diagnosis and Parkinson's Disease management. The Etiology (Section 4) and Diagnosis (Section 7) sections were especially interesting to read and remarkably concise given the breadth of topics she discusses.

Above all, it is current and well-organized. Small and portable, the book is chock-full of helpful diagrams, acronyms/mnemonic devices, and figures that translate difficult technical concepts into accessible reference, even for a non-clinician. My copy now has many stickies, highlights, and dovetails as I will frequently return to reference Section 8-medications, Section 9-complications, and Section 10-alternative therapies/management.
