Authored by the world's preeminent authorities in its field, this new book represents today's best single source of guidance on diagnostic imaging of the abdomen. It presents more details for each diagnosis, more representative images, more case data and more current references than any other reference tool. At the same time, its 4-color, user-friendly format lets readers access all of this information remarkably quickly!
  • Covers the top diagnoses in abdominal imaging, including both common and uncommon entities.
  • Provides exquisitely reproduced imaging examples for every diagnosis-plus concise, bulleted summaries of terminology · imaging findings · key facts · differential diagnosis · pathology · clinical issues · a diagnostic checklist · and selected references.
  • Includes an extensive image gallery for each entity, depicting common and variant cases.
  • Offers a vivid, full-color design that makes the material easy to read.
  • Displays a "thumbnail" visual differential diagnosis for each entity.

Editorial Reviews

Review

"I would recommend this textbook to any radiologist who is involved in general radiology or abdominal diseases, from beginning residents to experienced private practitioners or academic subspecialists."
--Radiology

"Federle (radiology, U. of Pittsburgh Medical Center) headed a roster comprising seven other contributers who eagerly sought out the best cases to include in this comprehensive text. Like other works prepared for this series, the text and images were entered into the Amirsys authoring tool, which organized the content in a rational way, providing uniformity and consistency in the final presentation - a difficult goal to achieve in multi-authored texts using conventional means." (SciTech, Vol.29, No.4, December 2005)

5.0 out of 5 stars Superb at-a-glance book for abdominal radiology, February 17, 2009
This review is from: Diagnostic Imaging: Abdomen, 1e (Hardcover)
Im shocked to see the review by previous author and cant believe that this has got only 1 star. I completely disagre what this chap has said. I have been using this book for the past 1 year and couldnt be happier. If you are not the kind of a person who sits and goes through pages of text-reading, this is THE book for you. I would highly recommend it to senior residents and new consultants.

1.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing, October 13, 2005

Full Professor (Southern California) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Diagnostic Imaging: Abdomen, 1e (Hardcover)
I am sorry to say this book is a great disappointment compared to the other very good books in the series. The author comes across as arrogant instead of informed. The illustrations are not as useful as they could be, not of much introductory help for the residents or deeper reference for those in practice. Pablo Ros book (CT and MRI of Abdomen) is much better, if you can find a copy.
