A real pleasure to handle and work with.

The jaws are smooth and can be operated very easily with one hand (these pliers don't have a spring).

Cuts spring steel and memory wire-what a joke, it won't even cut a coathanger. I held them up to the light tightly closed, and you could see light coming through the gaps in the jaws! Need I say more!

Was a little worried that this product might not be strong enough to hold up cutting through guitar strings. And I did get a little scare after trimming down the thicker strings. It gave a look that it was nicked up but turns out it was just the black paint/coating was taken off.

I would certainly recommend this for any guitarist.

These are good inexpensive cutters, I got them here to keep in the tool box, I like the grips. Put some oil on them if you don't use them a lot.

I bought these cutters for trimming excess wire when changing my guitar strings. Previous cutters I purchased were too soft but these do a nice job and cut cleanly. The jaws are smooth and can be operated very easily with one hand (these pliers don't have a spring). I think that they are the right size, small enough to keep in the guitar case, but large enough for easy leverage.

Only gave 4 stars because the finsh of the cutters aren't quite there. The belt sander finishing left sharp edges that makes it easy to scratch yourself or your work (in my case, a guitar) if not careful. I remedied the problem by filing the sharp edges and corners with a small flat file. Also this vendor shipping was more than half the cost of the cutters. But still not bad for a little more than $9.
