A good, basic introduction,

This is a very simple, but comprehensive, introduction to a complex subject. It was written for anyone wishing to produce statistical charts either by conventional graphic means or by currnt digital methods. It covers the concepts of graphical representation of data in the form of bar charts, line graphs and area charts and is an invaluable handbook for novice and professional designer. It will soon be superseded by a more comprehensive book which will include maps, plans and organisatioanl charts besides value charts.
