Really Good Stuff,

This review is from: The Dialogues of Archibald Macleish and Mark Van Doren (Hardcover)
I sought out and bumped this to the top of my queue because Adam Kempenaar (Filmspotting) said he devoured it as an undergrad. Good conversation is about as great as it gets and this gives you almost the complete transcript of everything that was recorded for a TV documentary of these learned men enjoying a weekend putzing around together. It's really only about half as long as the page count because the text is centered with huge margins and generous spacing. If you enjoy thoughts on poetry and politics and tidbits about Lincoln and Hemingway you might check this out.
