Editorial Reviews

Review

"I myself can recommend the Diamond Approach as probably the most balanced of the widely available spiritual psychologies/therapies."—Ken Wilber

"The work of A. H. Almaas places him among the greatest psychologists alive today. His brilliant vision of the human psyche embraces our Being from early development to the highest realms of spirit. From this he then offers a new language and direct approach for awakening to this manifold nature."—Jack Kornfield, author of A Path with Heart , coauthor of Seeking the Heart of Wisdom

"This is the first book to bring the main ideas of the Diamond Approach together in one place. That makes it an invaluable resource for every serious student of consciousness and psychology. The surprise is that this resource is delectable, a juicy morsel that engages the mind and the heart of the reader. It's at the top of my list for recommended reading this year."—Sherry Ruth Anderson, coauthor of The Feminine Face of God and The Cultural Creatives

4.0 out of 5 stars A Good Summary, But How Many Can Use It?, April 9, 2006

This review is from: The Diamond Approach: An Introduction to the Teachings of A. H. Almaas (Paperback)
A.H.Almaas' diamong approach is a powerful spiritual practice that deals with the unconcious barriers to enlightenment that other spiritual practices overlook. And Davis' book is an excellent summary of the subject.

Unfortunately the diamond approach is not available to most people. It can't be practiced on your own. Furthermore, Almaas' own books are difficult to get through.

A more accesible approach to this objective can be found in Susan Thesenga's "The Undefended Self."

If you're at all curious about what A.H. Almaas is talking about in his many Diamond Approach books, get this one first. He lays out the fundamentals of the teaching about The Work.

This great introduction to Almaas'teachings. Reading the books written by A.H. Almaas can be a little dificult to understand, specially for foreigners like me who are not native english readers. This books has the major concepts condensed in only one book. I found this very usefull.
