The Foghorns' music is what you listen to after the party ends, declared a music critic for the Seattle Weekly.

The critic was referring to "A Diamond as Big as the Motel 6," singer-songwriter Bart Cameron's breakthrough album that combines folk, bluegrass and rock to create a signature sound of a band that originated in Wisconsin, came of age in Reykjavik, Iceland, before moving to Seattle and mastering its craft.

While many of the tracks on "Diamond" have found a home on Seattle radio, these are not pop hits. Cameron's style takes a bit of getting used to, but after a couple of plays an intimate relationship is formed between the listener and the tender but gut-wrenching songs like "Old Bachelors in Cleveland" and "80 Proof" where Cameron sings:

"Give me two more minutes before the truth. Give me two more minutes of the gentle side of you. Ah honey, please put down the 80 proof."

These lyrics hurt, but at the same time the tracks render a feeling of pleasure.
