About the Author

Candace Conradi is an author, entrepreneur, and Diamond Mom. For the past 15 years, Candace has been team mother for a variety of teams, served on her son’s high school baseball booster board, worked on baseball fundraisers, and co-founded Legit Sports, Inc., a company that produces a pitcher’s training device.

Candace has four children ranging in ages from 20 to 33 and is passionate about her role as a mom. When her youngest son, Stephen, was two years old, she noticed extraordinary signs of athleticism. Stephen began playing soccer when he was four years old an did so until he was 10. While he experimented with other sports, such as basketball, football, and golf, it was baseball that caught his attention. By the age of 10, he had fallen in love with baseball. Recognizing his passion and talent, Candace and her husband decided they would do whatever they could to help him develop his natural ability.

This review is from: Diamond Moms: A Mother's Guide to Raising a Baseball Player (Paperback)
Accurate and informative for all levels of play. Great information for moms who are insiders and moms who are completely outside the park when it comes to baseball. Provides support for those of us who happen to be the necessary secret weapon for our baseball kids. Even has a "Baseball Lingo" dictionary of terms and definitions. Lots of resources for baseball families. Re-reading it again for the fourth time.

If you have a child who is or wants to be a baseball player, then this book is for you. Beautifully written by a devoted baseball Mom in an informative, understanding, supportive, loving way. Reading this book brought back fond and painful memories of my grown son when he was a little boy with a leather glove and big dreams to be special...and he is! I love this book, and give it as gifts to my friends with basball kids.

Invaluable information for the parents of daughters & sons in competitive sports, especially baseball. This book is clearly written from personal experience and reveals the human element, and not just the stats.
