I started using a Mac about a year ago and I actually only used it for about 4 months and it collected dust for the other 8. My old PC was starting to grow old on me so I decided to sell the Mac and build a new dream machine. I upgraded from a Radeon 4850 to a 5750 and this was ...Ok but it still seemed a little weak.

New Setup:

*Asus AM3 EVO 880 mobo with USB 3.0 and Sata 6gbs.

*AMD Phenom II 965 x4 3.4 Ghz Black Edition

*8 Gb DDR3

*Hitachi deskstar SataIII 2tb 7200rpm hdd

*Samsung P2770h 27 inch display with 1 MS response time

I decided to add a little more power and picked this card, the best way to describe it is that it runs much faster and smoother then any game console. 0 frame rate issues 0 driver issues
and for once I can run Crysis at max settings as well as any other game I play.

I chose the Diamond because it has a higher clock speed than the other brands have allowed. The only con I have about this card is that it is HUGE!! it is the same length as the motherboard, is a little difficult to fit in the case and it is a little heavy for the board.
Seriously, it's a brick!!

After reviewing most of the HD6870 models from different companies, I bought the Diamond one from Fry's, mainly because they were the only place where I could get it immediately.

Diamond's version comes with a crossfire link and nothing else. I have everything else I needed to hook it up anyway.

This thing takes everything I throw at it with ease. Far Cry 2, everything on max at 1920 resolution. Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War 2, everything at max. Even Call of Duty: Black Ops, everything at max.

If you're needing all the cables and converters, look at the Sapphire model. But if you already have everything you need, I don't think it matters much on which brand you get.

Bought this card for my budget build (first time building a pc) and wow, what a card!

I've been able to run every game I've thrown at it on ultra-high without even the slightest hiccup. StarCraft 2, Skyrim, Deus Ex, Mass Effect, FFXIII, everything. This card is as beastly as it is heavy haha. It's not really oc unlocked, even though Catalyst gives you the option, but it doesn't matter, cause this'll run fine!

Don't shell out 300+ dollars for the top of the line card, just get this, you'll be fine.

I understand that shopping for computer parts can be difficult due to all of the various alternatives, however look no further than this card! I've been using this card for over a year now and it has taken whatever I have thrown at it with little to no problems. The price has decreased substantially since I purchased it and the value is incredible. I highly recommend this card for anyone looking to play games on their computer, the card handles anything you throw at it!
