Okay, I just want to point out to all potential buyers....

If you actually LOOK at the cover of this album, look at the song titles, and actually THINK that there is going to be alot of heart-felt rapping in there, and positivity for the youth, etc. etc. then you're obviously mistaken.

The music on "Diamond Princess", for what it is, is AWESOME. The beats, the flows.. Trina even spits out some nice lines in alot of the songs. I just really think that people under-rate her, because they are too focused on the "sex talk", and whatever else Trina is known for.

It is a fact that Trina can rap, and this album displays it. If she couldn't rap, then why is Missy Elliott, Ludacris, Fabolous, or Eve doing songs with her? Why did Rah Digga, one of the hardest female rappers EVER, make a song with her called "Gangsta Queens?"

Trina is no Roxanne Shante, but she can hold her own. Her voice and her flow is all unique. She also has witty lyrics, and yet at times nasty/abrasive/arrogant/etc lyrics. Which I love.

This whole album is great, my favorite tracks have got to be:

The only song I really don't care for is "Kandi Gurl"..it just doesnt fit the theme of the album.

Anyways, if you're a person who only likes serious stuff, then this album ISNT for you.

If you're a person who likes to have fun, and don't mind hearing explicit lyrics from time to time, then DEFINATELY pick this up.


Trina has my support all the way.

This is a decent album, Trina has never claimed to be a powerful lyricist and she gets by on looks, packaging and decent beats. Unfortunately, her album came out the same day as EVE and that was a bad move. I still like Trina but I don't think she's serious about Hip Hop and making good music. I think she's serious about the entertainment industry and making money.

When this pint-sized Miami diva stepped onto the scene guesting on Trick Daddy's smash single "Nann", nobody could have expected she would blow up into a huge star. After the single took off, Trina's debut album was Slip-N-Slide Records top priority. After the album hit stores and went gold Trina's carrer continued to take off. On her debut album her lyrics and flow where below average, but on collaborations following the album she proved she was a powerful force in female rap music. After recording tracks with Cam'ron, Missy Elliott, Ludacris, & Foxy Brown, being featured on the cover of the Source & articles in Vibe, & performing live at the MTV Video Music Awards, I was hopeing this album would be strong.

The album is easily better then the first, and at times what I was expecting. Instead of bringing it hard on every song like her post-debut collabos, she resorts to turning in a [poor] performance like her debut. With lyrics that would make Lil' Kim & Foxy Brown blush, its clear that Trina continues to be the most risque female in the game. The album's first single "No Panties" featuring RnB new-comer Tweet, has all the slickness needed for radio airplay, and so does the rest of the album. She has completly abandoned her southern hospitality style of club tunes to replace them with radio friendly pop tracks in an effort to further her into the mainstream. On top of all that the album is flooded with guest appearences including Ludacris, Eve, Missy Elliott, Fabolous, Bathgate & others. Only 5 solo song on a 17 track album. Thats a shame, but in her defense its a sign of the times.

"Rewind that Back" featuring Missy Elliott is some-what reggae influenced, but I don't even know why they tried this because neither artist can pull it off, and let it be said now I hate Missy. The Ludacris collaborated "B R Right" is pure fire and is an excellent club track. The album's worst track though is easily "Kandi" featuring Lil Breanna - Trina's female version of Lil Romeo. The previously released "Told Ya'll" is a hot track and features a promosing new southern artist Rick Ross. The always stellar Fabolous breezes through his cameo easily out performing Trina and turning in the best material on the album. I don't like how Trina address herself playing someone else on the first verse of "You & Me", but the sample is amazing. The album is basically flooded with mediocre tracks, for example "Ladies First" (Featuring Eve), "Do You Want Me" (Featuring Bathgate), "I Wanna Holla" (Featuring Duece Poppi) & "Get This Money". On top of all that 3 of the album's 17 tracks are pointless interludes, what has become a hip hop fixture.

The album isn't outstanding, but many people will end up liking this. The album lacks so much substance because lyrically she is very limited to subjects. However she stepped her flow up and there I will give her credit. The album is pretty good for the beats & collabos, and in some songs (definetly not all), she proves that lyrically she maybe strong enough to stick around in the future and get noticed for talent, instead of her obvious sex appeal. I know for a fact that the album will sell because sex sells, and it has to be said that the album cover is absolutely amazing and is easily the best this year =). Trina earned her 3 stars this time.

Don't be a hater. Trina has so many new cutz on this album, its the truth. Yea, she has many guest appearances, but that just shows how versatile she is and who she can work with. I applaud Trina for all that she is doing. She's making money. There are only 3 songs that don't get any play from me, but thats good because there are 17 tracks. She's changed her style a bit, and upped her game. Overall Trina is the Baddest Bit**, and a Diamond Princess.

TRINA HAS THE WHOLE GAME ON LOCK AND Y'ALL JUST MAD BECAUSE Y'ALL CAN'T RIDE LIKE THAT CHICK. TRINA SAYS WHAT YOU WON'T SAY. JUST BECAUSE YOU THINK THAT ITS DISTASTEFUL DOESN'T MEAN SHE DOES. HELL, SHE TOOK AN OPPORTUNITY AND RAN WITH IT, AND I'M NOT MAD AT HER FOR IT. IF ANYTHING, THE THINGS THAT SHE SAYS ON HER ALBUM IS JUST FOR SALE PURPOSES. AND I MUST SAY THAT HER ALBUM IS SELLING JUST FINE. TRINA IS HOLDING IT DOWN FOR THE M-I-A. HOLLA BACK!

Trina has quickly become one of my favorite rappers. Ever since her start on Trick Daddy's ever popular "Nann', she hasn't really dropped a verse that I would consider wack and every song she has been on has been tight. And despite what many think, she doesn't get by just on her volumptious you know what and stunning looks. She definitely can rap, even though she isn't Mia X, Eve, or Lady Of Rage.

The Slip N Slide roster; who are usually all over a Slip n Slide release, are nowhere to be found, making this a true solo album, unlike her debut. The beats are top notch as well with the most notable producers being Just Blaze & Kayne West. The first single off the album `Told Yall' got plenty of play down south but I don't know about anywhere else though. This song is bumping and sports a rather rowdy beat. The current single `No Panties' feat. Tweet is off the chain as well. And to be honest when I first heard that song I instantly thought "GARBAGE" but that song was a good choice for single.

Now to get into the meat of the album. She begins the album with a familiar sound; a sample of Eazy E's No More ?'s entitled Hustling. The song is actually pretty tight and doesn't disgrace an Eazy E classic. Rewind That Back feat. Missy is a definite banger and B R Right with Ludacris is that butter on yo breakfast toast. Classic. No Panties, Told Yall, Nasty [girl}, How WE Do, Get This Money, 100% are all great songs. It even has a skit that I happen to like and as many know I really hate skits. As a matter of fact the only weak song is "Kandi" which features this lil ten year old girl named Brianna. She's rapping about skittles and starburst and other kiddie things and it just sounds out of place on this album. Plus the beat and the chorus is wack. And Do You Want Me feat. Bathgate is a pretty tight cut except that Bathgate sounds like a Jay-z wannabe.

The best song on the album is U & Me, where Trina gives the listener a personal look into her that most never hear. A great song. Overall I was plenty impressed with this album. I bought this and EVE-Olution on the same day and I must say this is the better album. Not saying she is better than Eve, but the album is better than Eve's album. This is an album that you should hear as quickly as possible. Recommended.

When I heard B Right featuring ludacris I knew I just had to cop this album. And I am happy to say I wasn't dissapointed not one bit. Trina is a very talented female rapper on this album. This is better than the Baddest ... because by her lyrics u can tell she's taken her place to a whole nother level. The only thing I hate about it is some of the songs have great instrumentals and fade out way to fast. Especially if you really into it. But other than that I have to say this is the best female album yet to be seen in 2003. ...

When I was in the store and went searching for rap cds. I came across Diamond Princess. I listened to some of the songs in a listening booth and I had to buy it. When I got home I fell in love with it and I listened to it constantly. Songs Like:

and 11: How We Do with Fabolous are great tracks. I would recommend buying this cause Trina lays it down, but if you really wanna see hear Trina lay it down buy Trina- Da Baddest B***H!

Trina has a whole different vibe, she's a lot more classy and a lot less rude than she was on 'Da Baddest...' .This CD is great. The lyrics are tight, the beats are cool, and the guest appearances don't take away from the CD. A few of the beats have a Spanish flavor to them, which doesn't make these songs the greatest to my ears, but it's a hot CD nonetheless. Oh, and she's spitting mad game.

I have to say Trina is one of the few rappers I like.Though I don't normally listen to rap Trina has some pretty tight lyrics. The tracks on this album are hot! Trina has style and ever since she came out has been giving us some tight beats. The best song on the album is "B R Right" featuring Ludacris,but I have to say all the tracks are hot!I would recommend this album to anyone because even if you don't like rap very much,you can't deny Trina!
