I love this Cap! Great size, very good look and quality for the price. He stands on my shelf next to Diamond Select's Thor and Loki (just as good.)

I did have the same issue as some other reviewers with tight joints. The right arm was the most difficult to move, but I did like another reviewer mentioned and used needle nose pliers (well padded with a rag) to carefully bring the arm down. It worked perfectly.

My Cap does not stand very well on his own; he tends to fall backwards (only my Loki stands on his own; he has (and needs) four points of contact with the shelf) but using a bit of cardboard held between two books on the shelf behind him to prop him up is working very nicely.

I also find it a bit funny that he's holding his shield on the same side as his thigh holster, seems like a bad idea in battle...but I love that you can take his sidearm out of its holster.

All those are very minor issues; all in all I love this figure.

My 4 year old beats this up and nothing goes wrong. Although, safely kept the gun for him since it is so tiny and he would lose it. I also kept the shield for him. He knows where to find if needed. Otherwise, he bangs it with his other toys and nothing goes wrong. Should last him eons.

I was looking for a 1st movie version Captain America figure but was unimpressed with the standard toy shelf version. I found the Diamond Select version online and after researching it thought it might fit my wants. Upon receiving it I found that it is a nicely detailed figure and a good addition to my collection. I can't rate it for its play value as I have not removed it from its packaging at this point. It is a nice looking toy version and captures the design look from the 1st Cap movie.

Excellent action figure. Great detail. About 6 1/2" tall. Articulation is stiff and somewhat limited but very functional. I also was mystified about how to place the very nice shield on the left arm where it belonged. It just wouldn't fit over the left hand, the thumb was in the way. The solution is to turn the left hand 180 degrees so that the finger tips of the balled fist face the back of the shield. The fit is just snug enough to hold the shield in place. Clever if purposeful. I just bought the Red Skull figure to complete the set. Cap was my favorite growing up and now that I'm retired I'm just a big kid.

So I was really excited to get this figure. Captain has been on my radar for a while and I finally got him. My first impression were that these figure are durable and have a fantastic sculpt. But after a while his shield had a big problem. Captains right arm has a fist and when you try to get it through the shields strap it's a real tight squeeze. In fact mine broke just two times in put it on that hand and I wasn't shoving it through there roughly. I used some glue and just decided not to put the shield on that side anymore. It really limits the poses I can put it in. The actual captain figure is great. Good details, good sculpt and an accurate movie resemblance. The shield was really my only problem with that but that's not stopping me from recommending this figure to captain america fans.

Though an old school Captain America fan, I really enjoyed the movies' take on his original 40's suit. It fits not only the war, but the time as well. Now with the focus being on the Avenger's suit version, which I admit I find terrible, this piece is a bit of a gem. It looks fantastic. It moves pretty well, and has one of the better paint jobs I have seem in recent figures.
That being sad, it has a few downers.
It doesn't stand particularly well on its own, the hip pivots just do not want to cooperate.
For some reason, it came with the shield in the same hand designed for the gun, obviously not ideal. But the shield is removable (with some effort) and can be placed on the other arm (with more effort).
Other than that, it just looks great, it's exactly what I wanted.
