5.0 out of 5 stars Great Card. Better Price
Few things to consider when buying this graphic card, it only has 256mb ddr2 and its not as fast as the 2600pros in core speed or memory speed, however for 50$ and with direct x 10 support this card has some serious power, on my system it ran Unreal Tournment 3 with all settings maxed out, and ran it well. You can run Crysis on high but you will suffer quite abit of frame...

3.0 out of 5 stars Ok value!
Bought this card for the tv out capability for use with my video editing suite. Thing is, couldn't get the tv to detect the signal from the s-video out. Turns out the VGA and s-video cant be used simultaneously. You have to use DVI and s-video or DVI and VGA. So don't spend hours scouring the internet and downloading drivers like I did to try to get it to work any other...

You can run Crysis on high but you will suffer quite abit of frame rate loss. It comes down to cost and quality, the 512mb version of this card is over double in price at the same speed, so 50$ for HD 2400pro with direct x 10 is not just a card well bought its one of the best deals on the net right now. Diamond Stealths page has this same card for 120$ thank you amazon.

After purchasing a blu-ray drive for my desktop computer I found I had to have a better video card for the drive to play Blu-ray movies. After researching all available video cards, I purchased the ATI HD 2400 Pro. The new card works great and was easy to install. It was also the best value price wise compaired to other cards with similar features and specs.
Now I can watch all my blu-ray collection on my computer.

Good news, DVI/VGA adapter is included in the box, I guess I didn't take the hint. Works beautifully once you get it running. XP detected the card automatically, didn't have to disable on board video. Worth the money!

This is a great product as long as you don't have a problem. I was completely ignored by their support team.

2.0 out of 5 stars Fast but Problemmatic, July 25, 2008

This review is from: Diamond Stealth ATI Radeon HD 2400 PRO 256MB PCIE GDDR2 Video Card (Personal Computers)
Beware, there are significant software problems with this card and a few others put out by ATI. I purchased this card several months ago, and although I am satisfied with the hardware, the software is lacking. Since puchase, ATI has released two software updates for this card, but all original problems persist -- screen flickers, and sometimes totally blacks out, requiring system restart. I've read many message boards on this card and found these problems are common. It's a shame that the product is good, but the software is definitely not. I do not recommend purchase until ATI gets their act together.

After checking at your supposed discount stores like Comp USA,Circuit City and Best Buy at over $100.00.i think for my needs 50 bucks was a great deal and after getting some bad tips on installation from manufacturer it turned out fine.
