This bike was easy to put together and seems to be built well. Two main problems I encountered with it:
1) The bike did not come with a kickstand. I can't imagine why many bike companies don't at least give you the option.
2) You can't tell from the product description or pictures, but there are very dark, grisly skulls all over the bike. These aren't "cartoony" or "piratey" looking skulls, but rather oppressive & nasty looking skulls. Not sure why they felt a need to throw these into the design. I'm all about my boy learning to embrace danger, but this seems a bit more sadistic/gruesome than that. I would have avoided this bike for this reason alone if I had known before buying the bike.

The bike is very well made and sturdy. My grandson loved the skeletons on it. Would definitely purchase this bike again.

Bought this bike for my son's 11th birthday. He hadn't learned to ride yet so I got him one a little small so as not to intimidate him. Also wanted the coaster brake along with the rear hand brake to help him learn. He helped me put it together, and we took it out for him to learn to ride. Within about 45 minutes he was riding on his own after not even trying to ride a bike in over 4 years! The bike has good balance and is sturdy and very well made. The skulls are a little scary but look "cool" to boys his age. It had no kickstand, so I bought a Bell adjustable kickstand for it and it mounted with no problems. Now that he knows how to ride, I'll probably need to go ahead and move him up to a 24" bike, but this one was well worth the money. He can now know the joys of bike riding for the rest of his life, and I should be able to get most of my money back on it once he gets a new one due to the quality and design.
