I was walking down the street in Seattle and heard a band playing at one of those lunch time concert things. The music is usually so bad at those shows that I run away, but this time I heard the loveliest voice echoing around concrete and glass "park." I was hooked. I wandered over to watch the band, and it was even better than I had hoped. Sarah and her top-notch band were exhausted from travel, but rockin' out and having so much fun that the crowd kept growing and growing. I bought the Diamonds in the Dark CD after the concert, and they're every bit as good in the studio as they are live. A rich, varied disc with a lot of heart. Buy it! You won't be disappointed.

Whoa! Sarah roars back with another fantastic CD. Every song is great. A little country, a little punk. Pure pop for now people. Sarah played Fitzgeralds last weekend and she blew the roof off. Just unbelievable. There truly is no god if 'The Day We Met' isn't playing on every ipod by the end of the summer. Actually, any song on this CD could be a hit. It's a pleasure to hear 'Come Back to Me' again. I think Sarah played every song from her two records at Fitgeralds and it was easily one of the best and coolest shows I've ever seen. Whether she's wailing louder than her guitar onslaught or purring softly she is in full command. This is ROCK at its very best. Yesterday I heard Nick Lowe on the radio and he said that there is nothing new worth listening to. Someone give this guy a copy of this CD. Hell, Sarah could've been in Rockpile! Nick, do yourself a favor and check this out!

Excellent alt-country from Boston's newest queen of alternative country. Follows in the footsteps of her first cd. Her backup band is extremely tight. A solid follow up to a stellar first album.

This is fine music...upbeat, great musicians,part country, but even if you hate country you'll love this....If your looking for traditional country...not here...But you will be amazed at this artist ....

The hit is "The Day We Met," a burst of guitar twang and tornado vocals that grab your feet and won't let go. Cross a plaintive Emmylou-Harris wail with a punk-y Chrissie Hynde attitude, alternate between rockabilly guitar and weepy pedal steel, and keep the average track length to 3.33 minutes, and you get Borges' gorgeous, country-bar-band take on relationships. You won't know whether to raise your beer or cry into it. ****

This girl can do it all. She makes most mainstream performers look like a joke!! If you haven't heard her get her CD's now (I love both of them but Silver City is my favorite). Rock, country, blues, it doesn't matter what Sarah sings she's great. Oh and her band is damned good too!!
