This is the best devotional I've ever read, everyday is uplifting and inspirational. It is a great gift for anyone!

My wife and I read one every night before bed. Joni has great insight and the writings are comparable in their scope and depth to the Oswald Chamber's collection.

We are on our 2nd time around. A scripture is the theme of each daily writing.

Joni writes from the heart and it shows in her devotional. Most days the topics deal with reflections of everyday people. But her way of looking at them and how they relate to the days scripture, will warm your heart. Nothing deep, just inspiring, like Joni!!

When a young family member died, I began looking for writers that were "real", "genuine". People who lived through bad, bad days when their faith was challenged.Joni is someone who is very real and transparent about her struggles with faith in a God that allows "bad things" to happen to you and they aren't miraculously cured like Job who got everything he lost and more returned. People like Joni never get back what they lost, but as she tells you in these daily meditations she received much much more. This occurred during and after her inner transformance in her relationship with God. An excellent book for people with Back Injuries, Chronic Pain, Fibromyalgia, TMJ, etc. More so if they were Christians before the condition.

"Diamonds in the Dust" is a favorite devotion book of mine and so I often purchase these books to give to other handicapped people that I meet.

I love the way Joni thinks and expresses herself. I am a retired rehab. nurse and I recognize so many of her thoughts and feelings in patients I have known. Have also given this for a gift and my friend read it 2 years in a row as a daily devotional. Great book.

This book is called Diamond in the Dust and the title is perfect. You get a precious nugget from God's Word every day. Joni has the gift of seeing God's meaning in the scriptures. She also has the gift of relaying those love filled messages God has for us in the scripture. This is my very favorite devotional and I have several.

This book was an excellent investment to nurture your spirit and give you wonderful insights into passages of scripture. Joni uses real life day to day anaologies to bring out the messages. She was truly inspired by God.

On the downside, the text in the book was very small and there is room on the pages to expand. I suggest, in another printing, the layout be redone. All in all this book was great. I even bought copies for my best friend and my mother and they too are totally enjoying it.

Way back in 1996 this book was given to me. It wasn't until January of 1999 that I began reading it. I write this review in 2011 and am still impacted by the simplicity and beauty of Joni's voice in the daily devotions. She has a way of reaching past boarders and walls to touching the heart just where it is needed. What a gift from God.

I got this book because I had just completed another Joni Earickson Tada devotional book. It has the same wonderful quality of spiritual encouragement as the previous book. I am enjoying the daily readings thru the year, and appreciate her outlook on life despite its imperfections!
