Information for the casual or hardcore fan,

This review is from: Diamonds in the Rough: The Untold History of Baseball (Paperback)
This book looks at a wide variety of avenues of the baseball world. There are chapters on umpires, women in baseball, deaths related to baseball, international baseball, the music and literature of baseball, baseball during wartime and other baseball related subjects. The book is written in such a way that I found that the chapters do not have to be read in the order they are presented. The book is full of history, interesting to read and a must for any baseball fan.

This review is from: Diamonds in the Rough: The Untold History of Baseball (Paperback)
This book is a collection of baseball facts and anecdotes, covering the entire history of the game and pretty much all aspects of the game as well. You can open the book at random and read something interesting on just about every page. On the other hand, the book doesn't cover any subject in real depth. That's not it's intention, though. Think of this as a rough (unpolished) collection of fascinating baseball information, worth looking into.

I ordered a book, it not only came in perfect condition...when I went to my friend (co-author), to have it signed, it turned out to be a first edition...He took it to show everyone in the room. He was even more excited than I! Thanks for a great buy!
