DIANA, A MEMORIAL VIDEO,
By "wsgwtw" (conshohocken, Pa United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Diana: The People's Princess (1961-1997) [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This tape goes over the basics of Diana, The pricess of Wales life from engagement to death. No one subject or area of her life is given preferential treatment, nor is it an in depth study of her life. But a must see for all Dianaholichs. This was produced rather quickly after her death with the proceeds going to the Princess of Wales Fund Established by the royal family. It is very interesting to hear how her friends viewed certain episodes in her life.

A very lovely & tastefully done videotape.,

This review is from: Diana: The People's Princess (1961-1997) [VHS] (VHS Tape)
Diana, The People's Princess is one of my favorite videotapes out of all the Diana tapes I own. It contains a lot of very recent video footage of the Princess just prior to her death, such as her attendance at the Gianni Versace funeral. The background of classical music gives the tape a haunting, ethereal quality. One of the only drawbacks is at times the sound quality is a little inconsistent and it seems that the tape was put together quickly as it was one of the first ones to come out after her death. However, other than that it's a lovely tape and one I have watched many times. A great value at $12.71. END

Would've been 4 stars without some of the people interviewed,

I thought this video was pretty interesting, covering the Princess's life as it did. Some of the footage isn't often seen, that's a plus. Some of the 'friends' interviewed, such as Penny Thornton, could've been left out in my opinion which would help the program along. (...)
