Book Description

July 11, 1996 Diana Princess of Wales
Diana's behaviour since her separation from Prince Charles has had the public, the Government and the Palace reeling in stunned amazement as each shocking action is quickly eclipsed by something even more daring and unpredictable. While outwardly fit and in control, there are clear signals of even more extreme behaviour to come and of impending crisis. Drawing on inside information and expert opinion, this book should be of interest to anyone who remains drawn to this woman. The book unfolds her key relationships with men, as well as her harsh treatment of the women, by whom she feels threatened. It also includes an in-depth analysis of Diana's words and body language in her "Panorama" interview. The key consultant on the state of her mind is Dr Sydney Crown, Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and the Royal College of Psychiatrists, and a consultant at the London Hospital. Christopher Hutchins is the co-author of "Sarah's Story", "Diana's Nightmare", "Elvis and Lennon" and "Athina".

5.0 out of 5 stars A Different Perspective, October 9, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Diana on the Edge Hb (Diana Princess of Wales) (Hardcover)
As a collector of Diana books, I was intrigued by this one from her home country. I must say that I agree with the authors and believe they did a pretty good job of providing readers with an alternate view of Diana - much different from the "Queen of Hearts" stuff. As a human, she was not perfect. I work in the mental health field and, just from numerous reports from those who knew her best, she must have suffered from mental illness. In my opnion, it seems that near the end of her life she was becoming more out of control and that may have lead to her death (very poor judgment). This book was written before her death and therefore does not include any suggestions regarding that event. There ARE some very prophetic comments by professionals consulted, however, which are eerie. This book confirmed my opinion of Diana and I am able to feel empathy for her in a totally different way than before. Even if you are a devoted "fan" of the late Princess, don't be afraid to read this alternate view of her life and problems.

5.0 out of 5 stars My Favourite Princess, February 11, 2012
This review is from: Diana on the Edge (Kindle Edition)
At last, something new on Diana my favourite Princess. It's interesting to read something new by people I've not known about before and it certainly explains why Diana was such a troubled lady. But a superstar! So much information. I'm just starting to read it all over again. Bet Prince Charles won't !!
