REMIX-A-LICIOUS!!, May 11, 2005
This review is from: Diana Extended: Remixes (Audio CD)
Every major artist with danceable tunes deserves a remix treatment as good as this. Very tasty! Mostly, you're getting all the major parts of each song re-mixed to [near]perfection by the re-mix maestros. "Love Hangover," "The Boss," and "Someday We'll Be Together" are the best, and "Upside Down" and "I'm Coming Out" are just fine, too. I never cared that much for "Chain Reaction" or the others. But, this set is definitely worth it for the excellent, excellent job done on the above-cited. A solid, tasty effort. Get up and DANCE!

oooowww, yeah, ah, yeah .... ooooooooh yeah!, March 16, 2004
This review is from: Diana Extended: Remixes (Audio CD)
Sorry, kids, but if you didn't like this CD (I didn't when I first bought it when it came out), listen to it again. We never heard the intro to THE BOSS that is on this CD; it's all Diana -- purring, singing her heart out, all vocal beginning -- exquisite! The vocal intro to LOVE HANGOVER is also "new" -- vamping, playful Diana -- it's brilliant! The re-mix of CHAIN REACTION is perhaps my favorite of them all (only because I always found the song banal; this re-mix is hip-hop fun -- put it on constant re-play and listen to this song for about a half an hour -- it definitely had to be made that way ...)

Dance Anthems For Lady Ross!, June 22, 2000
This review is from: Diana Extended: Remixes (Audio CD)
This is Diana Ross' first dance-remixed LP. Diana Extended-The Remixes is, in it's own right as a dance LP, a very good collection. The tracks are jumping and all have that little something that makes you want to get up and shake something! There is even a remix of Diana Ross and The Supremes' 1969 #1 single, "Someday We'll Be Together", as well as two remixed selections from Diana's 1980 platinum album, "diana", (I'm Coming Out and Upside Down). "The Boss" (1979) is also includes as well as a sultry and mostly-rerecorded by Diana version of "Love Hangover" (1976, #1). I'd have to say that the only element that pulls this collection down are the selection of only seven songs (because, If you're going to pay top dollar for a CD, it should have more than only seven songs), otherwise, Diana Extended-The Remixes definately worth purchasing. Also, the CD serves great as runway music as well.
