Book Description

When the world first met Diana Spencer, she was a 19 year-old kindergarten teacher, engaged to marry the heir to the British throne. Their romance and royal wedding were straight out of a fairy tale. Their marriage, sadly, was not. But the union produced two beautiful boys, the princes William and Harry.

Diana found a way to use her position and privilege to give love and hope to millions of people in need. Whether embracing a baby with AIDS, holding the hands of a leper, or comforting the dying, Diana opened her heart to the world. And the world, in turn, received her with deep and enduring affection.

She didn't need a palace to be a true princess.

5.0 out of 5 stars This book is for all ages., March 11, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Diana: Queen of Hearts (Paperback)
As with all my books on Diana, I have read this many, many times. "The Prologue" of this book reads like a fairy tale: "Once upon a time, not very long ago, a beautiful young woman married a handsome prince. He was the most eligible bachelor in the world. She - quite literally - was the girl next door."

This is an extremely well written book about the late Diana, Princess oof Wales. This is one book which can be read and enjoyed by everyone. One can read this book in thirty or forty-five minutes easily. The young people will enjoy it not only because it is well written and easy to understand but because its pictures are in color which is attractive to them.

The marriage which was dubbed "a fairy tale" was anything but a fairy tale. Diana found a way to use her position and privlege to give love and hope to millions of people in need. Whether embracing a baby with AIDS, holding the hands of a leper, or comforting the dying, Diana opened her heart to the world, and the world received her with deep and enduring affection.

Indeed Diana was a princess who did not need a palace to be a true princess.

5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful Little Book, August 25, 2008
This review is from: Diana: Queen of Hearts (Paperback)
This book is a beautiful little biography of Diana's life. It is small, so it doesn't bog you down with boring details. It gives interesting facts about her life and about some wonderful things she did. It is good for anybody of any age to read. I found the book to be very interesting and entertaining. She was a normal person in a unique situation.

5.0 out of 5 stars A great book to read if you're a Princess Diana Fan, September 5, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Diana: Queen of Hearts (Paperback)
This was a very cool book! I'm obsessed with Princess Diana, so I obviously loved it! If you read it, you will learn a lot about her, and probably even feel sad that such a wonderful person has left the world.
