I learned of Diana Tash from her shorter cd called Remember Me. If you are a fan of mezzo sopranos as I am (and I'm getting into opera more and more these days) I'd suggest you put Ms. Tash on your favorites list. Although I can't quite put my finger on it, there is something about Ms. Tash that is rare and exquisite. Her phrasing is what makes my eyes misty at certain points, and Mr. Guzelimian's phrasing and spirited piano also catches the listener's ear in all the appropriate places. The fact that this is a live recording makes me wish I had been in the audience to see the magic in person. Together, they are just magnificent, and it never fails...I always have to listen to the last 6 or so tracks a few times in a row.
