Diaper Dekor 3 Pack Refill

A friend recommended the Diaper Dekor to me, one reason being that the refills last a long time. My son is eight months old and we've only used two boxes. The refill is just a long bag or tube. You tie a knot in the bottom. When the pail is full, cut the top of the bag (the pail has a cutter on the inside of the door), throw the full part away and tie a new knot. Putting the first refill in can be tricky, but there is a diagram in the box to explain how to do it. After you've done it once, it's really easy subsequent times. My only complaint is that you have no way to see when the refill is about empty. If they had a red line on the bag like cash register receipt paper does, it would be much more convenient. Not knowing when the bag is about out means that it sometimes falls loose from the top and the dirty diapers end up loose in the pail.

We've had the Diaper Dekor Plus for 8 months now & I LOVE IT!!!! I read lots of reviews while pregnant as to which diaper disposal system was the best, & I decided to choose the Dekor Plus.
The baby's nursery is still set up in our master bedroom, so the Diaper Dekor Plus is in there as well. Now that he's eating solids, the mess in his diapers STINKS! But whatever is put into the Dekor STAYS in the Dekor! You never, ever smell dirty diapers in the bedroom. The only time you get a teeny, tiny whiff of smell is when you open the lid to put a diaper in, but even that is minimal because the liner is scented & due to the design, you really don't get any smell that lasts.

The design is SUPER easy to use one handed (important when you're holding a new baby with two hands or a squirmy 8 month old!). You simply step on the foot pedal & the lid pops up. There's a little trap door inside & you just drop your diaper on top of it & it falls into the pail. This trap door REALLY helps keep in the stink. That's all you have to do! The lid closes by itself.

The liners are not as cheap as others, but they last a very long time. We have the Dekor Plus system, & we've used it for 8 months now. Each refill box has 3 "packs" of liners in them. The liners are like one super-long trash bag. You tie a knot at the bottom of the bag & fill it up with diapers. When you're ready to empty the pail, you open the little latched door on the front of the pail & pull out the full bag of diapers. There's a cutting tool that you just slide the bag on to cut it, then you just tie a new knot in the new trash bag & pull it down to make a new pail bag. This option is nice because you can empty the pail daily or weekly, & you can customize the amount of bag you're tossing & you don't have to waste any refill bag.

Even during this changing, you don't get much of a smell. Of course, if you leave poopy diapers in a pail for a few days, you're going to smell something when you dispose of it, but it's minimal & never bothers me, my husband, or my 10 year old stepdaughter.

We've used the Dekor Plus for 8 months now, & we are only on our 2nd box of refills. Each box has 3 "refills" & we're on the 2nd bag of our 2nd box. So these last a very long time!

This system is absolutely the best one on the market. You would be foolish not to get it!

I love this diaper pail. No odors and easy to change the bags. A fried of ours that has the Diaper Genie took a look at ours and said it was much better and simpler.

The only problem I've had is that the door sometimes doesn't stay on that great because we have thick carpeting that it has to sit on, so it makes it somewhat unstable. However, there is still no odor, even when the door falls off the front.

My daugther will be 4 months old next week and we are just having to buy our second box of refills. So basically, it took one refill a month. ( the one that came with the pail and the 3 from the refill box)

Before choosing this diaper pal I looked at the reviews for all the other systems. The diaper dekor had the best reviews. I went back and forth about it because it was more expensive and so were the refills. After reading about how long the refills lasted I figured I probably wouldn't be saving much by buying the diaper genie. So I bought the diaper dekor. My son is two and a half months old and we are just getting into our first refill pack. The bag that came with it has lasted until now. It is really easy to empty and there isn't any smell. I will be getting one of these for my friend who is expecting twins. I know she will get a lot of use out of it and will appreciate not having to change the bag every day. We have to change the bag about once a week. I totally recommend this system to everyone.

There are two identical looking Diaper Dekor products. Unless you know in advance, for certain, which one you have buy your first refills at a store where you can check. The Dekor plus is a larger size decor, and is identical right down to only saying "Dekor" on the front. The height of these is just a bit different, but the width of the Decor is about ten inches while the Dekor Plus is about fourteen. Also, the Diaper Dekor has a round diaper opening, while the Dekor Plus has a square diaper opening.

If only they would say "Dekor Plus" on the Dekor Plus.

I registered for this for my baby shower after reading the reviews. I noticed people liked this better than the Diaper Genie. I received it as a shower gift, and it is wonderful! My son is now 10 months old and we have used it since day one.

It holds the odors in, the bags and refils are super easy to change--even I can do it (I am challenged sometimes by these types of things), and I have only used two refil boxes in 10 months.

I receive Parenting Magazine and the Diaper Genie was rated as a product mom's could not live without. After reading some of the reviews on the Diaper Genie, I guess none of their panel had tried the Diaper Dekor, because I have also had friends who have used the DG, and after seeing the Dekor, they think the Dekor is so much better. If you are thinking about getting the Diaper Dekor, or registering for it, do...you won't be disappointed.

My husband and I really love this product for our son. We put the diapers in the diaper Dekor and they do not smell up his room at all. Also it takes a bout a week to empty the bag full of diapers, very easy to take out and easy to put in a new refill. Each refill lasts over 2 months. Very nice product, I would recomend this to other parents!!!!!

I read the reviews for all of the diaper pals and decided on Diaper Dekor after seeing the pals in action. The Diaper Dekor is decorative and easy to use. But most importantly when my 7 month old son has soiled diapers, I don't smell it. I have recommended this pal to other moms and they agree.......we love it!!!!!!

We've had the "Diaper Dekor" system for 6 months now and it's the best invention because 1) it keeps odors in, 2) it's very user friendly, and 3) it can be easily used for other things after the kids grow out of the diaper stage.

I had a "diaper genie" for 4 years and finally got so fed up with how difficult it was to change the bags that I finally gave up and threw it away. But I was still stuck with smelly diapers, so I had to find something ASAP. And off I went on an internet search. I'm so glad that I chose the "Diaper Dekor" for all the reasons I mentioned above. In addition it has a handy foot pedal so you don't even need to have your hands free to use it. And it has a real neutral look so you can easily continue to use it as a bathroom trashcan... or whatever.

Actually, we're planning on getting cats and I'm thinking this will be a real easy way to dispose of the litter box contents if for some reason we run into problems flushing the clumping litter. Kinda like a diaper pail for kitties!

In case you're trying to decide between this and the "Diaper Genie", I'd say don't bother with that Genie!! Over time the round disk that the refill bag fits around gets all messed up on the bottom... the easiest way to describe it is 'chewed up' so it doesn't sit well (or eventually AT ALL) on the diaper genie.

On the other hand, the design of the Diaper Dekor is so simple that it doesn't pose a problem with use or refills. It takes literally seconds to remove the contents or put a new refill in.

I scanned some reviews and noticed one from someone complaining about having trouble finding refills. I haven't looked in local stores, but came on back to amazon.com and there it was. If I find something that works so well, it's worth it to me to purchase it on the net. But then again, I buy frequently on the net, so this doesn't phase me.

I used the diaper genie with my first two children, and the Diaper Dekor with my last two-hands down I would choose the diaper dekor, and the refills. The refills hold more diapers, are much stronger and easier to use and install, and have a lot less smell to me than the genie. Also, its very simple for both my 2 and 4 yr. olds to use. Thanks for a great option to holding all those nasty diapers. A helpful hint, for real bad diapers, put them into a plastic sandwich bag and it holds the smell much better!
