We did a lot of research before purchasing this diaper bag. My husband wanted a messenger bag style, since he often is the one carrying it. At first, I really liked the bag. It does have a lot of pockets, which is nice for organizing all the baby stuff. I particularly like the large back pocket, which I now use as a purse for my things, instead of carrying an extra bag. I felt that, for a newborn, it was a great size with room to spare. However, now that my baby is 7 months old, this diaper bag is not nearly big enough. I should point out that we use cloth diapers, which take up a little more space than disposables. But with 2-3 cloth diapers, the changing pad, nursing cover, extra jacket or blanket for the baby, and a couple of small toys or books, the bag is so full we can't even close the main pocket. Also, after only 6 months of use, the zipper on the main pocket snapped right off, so we can't even close it if we want to now. Everything else has held up well so far on the bag, but I'm not entirely satisfied. I would rather have more space than all the extra pockets that we don't really even use.

This is a great bag! We used to use an open top bag that can be carried only using the handle, it was bulging with my little daughter's stuff. When we got the diaper dude bag and moved all the things to it, I thought something must be wrong because it felt really empty even with everything in it.

This bag has multiple pockets, some velcro'd, some zippered, and some open and there's the zippered roomy central area under the main flap with mesh pockets all around it.

This bag comes with a changing pad that can be folded into a small square and stroller straps to hang the bag on your stroller.

I liked how the bag was carried messenger style and the mobile phone pocket fit my Nokia N95 8GB without any problems. My wife was taking items from the front pockets while I was carrying the bag.

After using this bag, I think it can be used even by dudes without babies because all the pockets can be used for other things. And it looks great!

Note: When I ordered my bag through amazon it came with the changing pad but no stroller straps. I contacted the nice people at diaper dude and they immediately sent me one. So make sure you check yours when it arrives!

Nice baby bag for a guy - I like the reminder tips it gives them on the inside flap (last one says to not forget the baby which is pretty funny).
Overall very versatile and will be great to carry the baby stuff.

I have tried a lot of diaper bags and there are quite a few out there that claim to be for the dad. I have tried skip hop, dad gear, etc. They were nice but they seemed to fall apart only after a few months. I figured as a last resort I would give this one a try. Upon receiving the bag, I noticed right out of the bag that it was a sturdier smarter construction The magnet for the flap eliminates the loud velcro noise when your in a quiet place. It still hooks to the stroller, it has a cell phone pocket(it won't fit most smart phones, only down side thus far). It also has a key ring at the top so u don't lose your keys in the diaper bag abyss. The pouch on the back holds an iPad perfectly. I really can't find a negative other than the cell phone pouch is a little outdated for size. A little expensive but seems like it will last longer than the other ones that cost about the same.

My husband didn't want a "girly" diaper bag so we finally found this one and thought it was a bit pricey but it seemed to fit our requirements. The only good thing I can say about it is it's not white so it doesn't show the dirt.
The strap doesn't come off. So if you're a tall guy (my husband is 6'5") and need a longer strap to carry the bag at a comfortable height forget it. You can clip a longer strap on but then you still have the dude strap dangling there. The zipper for the back pocket is awkward to get to and open. Also, the back pocket is narrow and really doesn't hold much - big waste of space. Also the metal pull on the zipper snapped in half leaving a jagged edge. The bag doesn't stand up on it's own so if you are trying to get stuff out of the bag while holding down a wriggling baby/toddler the bag just falls over and then you have to try to get it back up and get your stuff....
We contacted Diaper Dude to let them know of the cheap quality of their zippers and didn't hear a word back from them.

Spend your money on something else. You earned it, you deserve better customer service (I'm refering to Diaper Dude and not Amazon) and a better bag.

I am a new dad and needed a manly bag. Done deal. Masculine enough, big enough, and very well made. Plenty of compartments and is very comfortable to wear.
Would/will transition nicely into a laptop bag when the day comes.

I think this is a great diaper bag. It would be even better if my wife would quit using it and rearranging it...

I like that its very plain looking - its not very obvious that you are carrying a diaper bag (although you are probably also carrying a baby so that gives it away somewhat).

The black bag is all black on the outside... so it doesn't show dirt or wear. The inside is bright orange, so it's easy to find things in the bag.

I like all the pockets. It allows me to separate all the items - bibs, diapers, wipes, extra shirt, etc. It has a bottle holder on the end. It has a cell phone holder on the strap, we use it to hold hand sanitizer.
For the first 6-8 months we kept burp clothes in the first slot - the one that's exposed even with the flap shut. Sometimes you need to very quickly grab a burp cloth and this allows quick access.

My wife (and lots of other wife's according to the reviews on here) doesn't like the pockets. She would rather put everything in one big open bag. (she finally bought her own diaper bag after 15 months and it is one big open bag)

So I would recommend you decide what style bag you want - if you like something with lots of pockets to keep things separated and organized, then this is the bag for you.

One note - we are doing cloth diapers. Now that our daughter is older, this diaper bag does get rather full. The cloth diapers take up a lot of room. If you are looking for a bag that you could use for an all-day event this might not be big enough for all the snacks and diapers and toys and everything.
... but I personally don't want a bag that big for every day use... I like this one.
