Lots of pockets but not a lot of room,

We did a lot of research before purchasing this diaper bag. My husband wanted a messenger bag style, since he often is the one carrying it. At first, I really liked the bag. It does have a lot of pockets, which is nice for organizing all the baby stuff. I particularly like the large back pocket, which I now use as a purse for my things, instead of carrying an extra bag. I felt that, for a newborn, it was a great size with room to spare. However, now that my baby is 7 months old, this diaper bag is not nearly big enough. I should point out that we use cloth diapers, which take up a little more space than disposables. But with 2-3 cloth diapers, the changing pad, nursing cover, extra jacket or blanket for the baby, and a couple of small toys or books, the bag is so full we can't even close the main pocket. Also, after only 6 months of use, the zipper on the main pocket snapped right off, so we can't even close it if we want to now. Everything else has held up well so far on the bag, but I'm not entirely satisfied. I would rather have more space than all the extra pockets that we don't really even use.

This is a great bag! We used to use an open top bag that can be carried only using the handle, it was bulging with my little daughter's stuff. When we got the diaper dude bag and moved all the things to it, I thought something must be wrong because it felt really empty even with everything in it.
This bag has multiple pockets, some velcro'd, some zippered, and some open and there's the zippered roomy central area under the main flap with mesh pockets all around it. This bag comes with a changing pad that can be folded into a small square and stroller straps to hang the bag on your stroller. I liked how the bag was carried messenger style and the mobile phone pocket fit my Nokia N95 8GB without any problems. My wife was taking items from the front pockets while I was carrying the bag. After using this bag, I think it can be used even by dudes without babies because all the pockets can be used for other things. And it looks great! Note: When I ordered my bag through amazon it came with the changing pad but no stroller straps. I contacted the nice people at diaper dude and they immediately sent me one. So make sure you check yours when it arrives!

Great bag!,

Nice baby bag for a guy - I like the reminder tips it gives them on the inside flap (last one says to not forget the baby which is pretty funny).
Overall very versatile and will be great to carry the baby stuff.

Both bag and Amazon are amazing,
This review is from: Diaper Dude Messenger II Diaper Bag, Black (Health and Beauty)
This review is for the diaper bag and for Amazon's customer service. They both get 5 stars. I had an initial problem where I did not receive the bag but some warehouse garbage(literally#. The box was demolished and looked like it was re-taped. I contacted Amazon customer service and they promptly overnighted me a replacement and emailed me a return label for the first shipment. The only inconvenience was that I had to take it to a UPS store to ship it back. Which is not a big deal considering their cooperation.
Now on to the bag. It is awesome. The bag layout is great and easy to get things in and out. It even comes with instructions on what each section was designed for. This bag is very comfortable and is much better than any bag that we had for our first daughter#I believe we went through 3 trying to find a good one). I wish that I would have known about these bags back then.

I am a new dad and needed a manly bag. Done deal. Masculine enough, big enough, and very well made. Plenty of compartments and is very comfortable to wear.
Would/will transition nicely into a laptop bag when the day comes.

I love this bag. Not only is there space for everything baby related, it also transitions nicely into the bag I take with me to school. There's room for text books, laptop, and hey . . . it looks cool.
I love it.

Expensive for such a cheaply made bag,

My husband didn't want a "girly" diaper bag so we finally found this one and thought it was a bit pricey but it seemed to fit our requirements. The only good thing I can say about it is it's not white so it doesn't show the dirt.
The strap doesn't come off. So if you're a tall guy (my husband is 6'5") and need a longer strap to carry the bag at a comfortable height forget it. You can clip a longer strap on but then you still have the dude strap dangling there. The zipper for the back pocket is awkward to get to and open. Also, the back pocket is narrow and really doesn't hold much - big waste of space. Also the metal pull on the zipper snapped in half leaving a jagged edge. The bag doesn't stand up on it's own so if you are trying to get stuff out of the bag while holding down a wriggling baby/toddler the bag just falls over and then you have to try to get it back up and get your stuff.... We contacted Diaper Dude to let them know of the cheap quality of their zippers and didn't hear a word back from them. Spend your money on something else. You earned it, you deserve better customer service (I'm refering to Diaper Dude and not Amazon) and a better bag.

I bought this for my husband (I'll also use it) and we really love it. It's comfortable to wear and just the right size. It holds quite a bit but it isn't bulky. I also really like the fun labels and the list on the inside flap. As cute as they are, it actually isn't just for humor, it's a nice little reminder of what you need to take and where things are in the bag. I would highly recommend this bag for both men and women who want a functional diaper bag, but without the cheap or cutesy look of most bags available.

This bag is very small in my opinion, we use Dr Browns wide neck bottles and they did not fit in the side pockets, I had to return it, it didnt work for me, on a positive note, amazon.com's customer service is excellent, the whole process was a breeze.

Hi - I understand that this retailer may not be responsible for FEDEX shipping, but I think future buyers should know about my experience. I ordered this as a Christmas gift and had it shipped to an address I routinely ship to. It did not arrive. I reported the problem to Amazon, but they said it was the shipper's fault. I called the shipper and explained the problem. They said their records showed it was delivered although without a signature. They claimed they would look into it. That was over a month ago and I've not heard from anyone. I've been shopping successfully with Amazon since it started and this is the first time I've felt very disappointed with the service. I hope this is not a indication of future behavior.
