5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent healing and protection
Fougera A+D is what the hospital used to treat my moderate facial wounds after jaw surgery. They sent me home with extra packets for reapplication. It was the best thing for pain and protection. As soon as it would wear off, I could feel the burning of wound exposure so I'd reapply and ahhh, relief! Later, I found that it has also worked better with soothing and healing...

1.0 out of 5 stars Not for diaper rash
I tried A&D when my daughter was a few months old, after we ran out of the Vitamin A & D packets that the nurses at the hospital sent us home with. And her diaper rash flared up to a painful bright red, once her skin was even slightly broken, that didn't go away no matter how much A&D I used, sometimes in combo with Desitin, how often I changed her diaper, or if I let her...

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent healing and protection, January 12, 2009
Fougera A+D is what the hospital used to treat my moderate facial wounds after jaw surgery. They sent me home with extra packets for reapplication. It was the best thing for pain and protection. As soon as it would wear off, I could feel the burning of wound exposure so I'd reapply and ahhh, relief! Later, I found that it has also worked better with soothing and healing the soreness of severely chapped skin and cuts than the other OTC A+D ointments, lotions, or creams. Recently, I rubbed my nose and upperlip so very raw as a result of a bad cold and marathon nose blowing and Fougera A + D is the only treatment that did not burn upon application. It made my upper lip greasy lookin but I just dabbed it lightly with tissue to lessen the shine when at the office. Mostly it was just nice to have some relief and healing!
NOTE: Careful, as with all products with petrolatum, do not use on FRESH burns!

5.0 out of 5 stars Best for sensitive skin, January 7, 2008
By
Ronda (St. Louis, MO USA) - See all my reviews
I love this stuff! It was what I got in the hospital for my newborn. And this works great. He's got sensitive skin and his face would get chapped from all the slobbering and binky marks. This would protect it and clear it up faster than anything. The smell is a little medicine-like, but it's better than the other stuff I've smelled. And it's lightweight.

This product works very well. I prefer it over A+D. It doesn't smell as strong. And it works great with tattoos. My tattoo artist hands out a packet of this stuff after every session and says to keep it on there until it is all healed. :)

This review is from: A+D Diaper Rash Ointment & Skin Protectant, Original 4 oz (113 g) (Health and Beauty)
I saw that hospital was using this ointment then I thought I will try the same. Very effective and been using since 8 months and looks like it is working as I had no issues so far.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not for diaper rash, December 1, 2011
This review is from: A+D Diaper Rash Ointment & Skin Protectant, Original 4 oz (113 g) (Health and Beauty)
I tried A&D when my daughter was a few months old, after we ran out of the Vitamin A & D packets that the nurses at the hospital sent us home with. And her diaper rash flared up to a painful bright red, once her skin was even slightly broken, that didn't go away no matter how much A&D I used, sometimes in combo with Desitin, how often I changed her diaper, or if I let her skin air dry before applying. I even switched to more expensive diapers with an extra mesh lining. All the while using more and more A&D. Nothing worked. Now I find out that the commercial brand A&D is NOT THE SAME THING AS VITAMIN A/VITAMIN D ointment. I guess from the other reviews I can start using this for myself when my hands/elbows/knees get really dry.

5.0 out of 5 stars Softer, smoother, healthy skin ( better than vaseline), January 11, 2011
This review is from: A+D Diaper Rash Ointment & Skin Protectant, Original 4 oz (113 g) (Health and Beauty)
I like Fougera brand which is the emollient. It is better than just the A and D ointment.
It has a smooth easy glide feeling vs the regular ointment which is a
thicker jelly feel. Both are good as it just is a preference.
Give it a try. Your skin will thank you. Non irritating and safe for a baby. Use it for smoother, softer skin. Carry a tube in your car for those dry skin days. Relieves itchy dry skin too. Excellent value for the money.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing Ointment, August 11, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: A+D Diaper Rash Ointment & Skin Protectant, Original 4 oz (113 g) (Health and Beauty)
I have been using A & D eFougera Ointment for about ten years for different rashes. I am an adult female and this is the best product ever for heat rashes. In the past other products have been used but I always return to A & D Ointment it is the BEST Started using it on my children for diaper rash and then when I got a heat rash I used it myself and it worked beautifully. I have never endorsed a product but I do endorse this one. I have recommended it to several of my friends and they have ordered it on Amazon.com and used it with great success as well.

5.0 out of 5 stars Better than Desitin & Buttpaste, July 16, 2009
This review is from: A+D Diaper Rash Ointment & Skin Protectant, Original 4 oz (113 g) (Health and Beauty)
All the books say to use the zinc products for diaper rash, but (especially with a boy) the paste can get into places hard to wash. However, this ointment rids a bad diaper rash in 48 hours, is easy to wash off, and is a great preventative when used daily (at night, especially).

1.0 out of 5 stars Delivery took way too long, November 18, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: A+D Diaper Rash Ointment & Skin Protectant, Original 4 oz (113 g) (Health and Beauty)
This comes from a separate vendor. Delivery fulfillment took over a week. I would go with Diapers.com in the future.
