I'm going against the general consensus here. As far as I'm concerned, this DVD stinks. There's no music videos on it. It's just a documentary about her activities while on tour etc. Now you might say "Yes, that's what the DVD is about. It's a documentary. What's your problem?". If I bought this in a store and read the cover properly, I may have passed. But I bought it online. Alicia Keys has a music CD by the same title that I think is very good. I think it's fair to assume that a DVD by the same title would contain Music Videos or a live performance of those songs. I like her as an artist. I think she's talented. But I do not care what she does off stage or out of the studio. And I certainly do not want to spend money finding out. This DVD should be marked more prominently as "Does not contain any music". I wish I could return this DVD. It is really worthless to me. Just a waste of time and money.

Due to the absence of music this is the worse DVD in my collection! I contacted Eagle Rock, the firm responsible for this piece of TRASH! Yes, Ms Keys has accompolished a great deal in her young life, but not enough to warrent a documentary. If you were so under thirty this DVD might have been interesting? The other issue was the way documentary was written so small on the jacket - like a bait and switch. The company would not refunded my money nor answer the question does she have any real DVD with music - no response!
Ms Keys you are good but you are not a Lina Horne nor a ELLA F, documentary of these ladies would have been of value. I enjoy watching you sing, not just hearing you sing! You have made enough single release DVDs that you could compound them and release a really good piece of music DVD!

Cheated!

I just wished Alicia would release a live DVD already. She was unreal live. I saw her in Sydney, Australia, and it was one giant jam session. The music never stopped until the end of the concert. This DVD is great but it is a teaser; you get to see glimpses of Alicia performing but mostly it is behind the scenes. While I think it's awesome that she is showing the fans her personality and letting them see what goes on backstage and all the fantastic places she has travelled to in the world, it seems like the sort of thing that would be a bonus feature on a live DVD.

I'm an Alicia Keys fan, so I know all the fans can agree with me, when I say that Alicia is CRAZY!! This shows her going to places on her tour and having FUN!! She and her crew is acting a FOOL! It's too FUNNY!! The places she visits are soo beautiful!! You will love it!! It had me in stitches cause, she is just so FUNNY!! It's to die for!! I know you guys will love it!!

This DVD is great, it shows her on her tour, what she did in her spare time, her tour bus, bits of shows (inc performaces of tracks from both albums), and a tour of one of her hotel rooms, painting balling, water skiing.....you get the drift.

If you are a fan of Alicia and want to see what she does when she isnt performing, then this is the DVD for you!!

If I'm correct, this documentary is the DVD that was included with the initial release of "Diary of Alicia Keys". My copy includes both this DVD and the CD, so if you don't want to waste money, make sure your online purchase of "Diary" is the 2-Disc edition.

This was a boring series of scenes of her backstage; maybe should have read description better; thought is was a performance dvd

This album is refreshing and thought provoking. It takes one away from the regular and there is more substance to it than most of what is out there. Talent is evident, voice is smooth, It was definitely a great buy.

This is a cher dvd definately worths it money... majority of the dvd has behind the scenes of the tour and heaps of AK commentary and Interviews so thats pretty FABALIS.
It gives the average viewer/fan and insight in AK's world which is really interesting. Shows you how tedious being a celebrity is but also the perks like visiting cool places and having the flashest hotel room in the whole wide world.....

However there are audio gliches in some parts and not much concert footage which would have been cool.... but somehow I think they are gonna release a concert DVD (well I hope so).

If your a fan its definately worth if your not a fan then by purchasing you will become one.
