4.0 out of 5 stars Preacher's Wife is a big job!
This was a good read. Michelle and Darvin had a psycho in their life. The life of a preacher's wife is hard. Dealing with women throwing themselves at your husband has got to be an on-going nightmare. I highly recommend this book. Daphne was off the hook... she was the worst nightmare.

3.0 out of 5 stars Can You Say " Coo Coo" Tricks Are For Kids (Rating 3.5)
Diary of a Mad First Lady is somewhat comical... The story depicts the lives of Pastor & First Lady Johnson, who have been blessed with a loyal congregation and the wealth that comes along with it. Like many Pastors & First Ladies, there are battles to conquer as it relates to the over "eager" church member. As you read the diary of Michelle (First Lady), you are drawn...

3.0 out of 5 stars Can You Say " Coo Coo" Tricks Are For Kids (Rating 3.5), April 2, 2010
This review is from: Diary of a Mad First Lady (Urban Renaissance) (Paperback)
Diary of a Mad First Lady is somewhat comical... The story depicts the lives of Pastor & First Lady Johnson, who have been blessed with a loyal congregation and the wealth that comes along with it. Like many Pastors & First Ladies, there are battles to conquer as it relates to the over "eager" church member. As you read the diary of Michelle (First Lady), you are drawn into the drama she and her husband have had to deal with by one particular "Coo Coo for Cocoa Puffs" I-want-to-be-the-First-Lady at all cost NUT!

At one point, I was thinking is she For Real, and it almost made the story "unbelievable" that a woman would go to the lengths she did to get a man. Additionally, you are screaming WAKE UP PASTOR, surely you've got some discernment being called by God. Interesting and comical read!

4.0 out of 5 stars Diary of a Mad First Lady, June 8, 2010
This review is from: Diary of a Mad First Lady (Urban Renaissance) (Paperback)
I'm suggesting this book to any woman that is either married to a pastor or thinking about marrying one. Pastor Darvin Johnson was really slow and sometimes I just wanted to shake some sense into him. First Lady Michelle had some issue of her own, but I could understand and feel her a lot of times. Daphane/Dawn was off the chain. From the beginning I could see her reinventing herself. This book showed that many women think very highly of themselves think that if they dress a certain way or pay for a man that he will be their's. However, Pastor Johnson did show very little interest in this woman what he did show made Daphane/Dawn think that he was truly going to leave his wife and come be with him. I really enjoy the end of the book because as Michelle stated you do have to leave the familiar to start new.

I enjoyed this book due to the wonderful content and not having to worry about any graphic pono scenes. I enjoyed that God was all through the book and could really enjoy the characters. I like to get the series as it is proving to be really interesting and down to earth.

This is an GREAT book, not only is it INTERESTING & an ATTENTION KEEPER but I bet some "First Ladies" out there probably think that it was written about their relationships!!! This book is an attention getter from the beginning and keeps it all the way to the end. I really enjoyed the way the people came to life on the pages, so if you are looking for a good read; you won't go wrong buying this book.

4.0 out of 5 stars Pure comedy, March 28, 2011

Although not a comedy, this book was very funny to me. I enjoyed reading it. However, I probably found far to much humor than was intended. I would definitely read other books by this author. I can't wait for the next installment.

I enjoyed this book so much, that while I was reading I had to look this author up to see what other books she has in store! Very good job, a book that will keep you reading and keep you in awe.

I enjoyed this book in every way! However, the delivery of the book took way too much time! I received my book 2 weeks after I placed my order. I will NEVER order from this vendor/company again.
