This review is from: Diary of Northwest Trout Flies (Paperback)
I originally bought this book without even looking through it. Days later, I decided to look through it. Wow! I read the whole book cover to cover and then I went to my fly tying station and began tying. This is a very well written book. The pictures are not in color, but instead are drawn in exceptional detail. I like the fact that the pictures are not in color, because it allows the tyer to be more creative. This book provides a "diary" section for each fly, so the tyer can make notes. I have fished these flies in the Northwest and elsewhere and had great success. The author covers Nymphs, Caddis Pupa and Larva, Chironomids, Dry Flies and Terrestrials and Streamers. Don't pass this up, The price is great!
