September 17, 1980
The second volume covers a crucial period in Woolf's development as a writer. "Her sensibility, her sensitiveness, her humor, her drama... above all her catalytic gifts as a writer seem almost too much for one remarkable woman" (Christian Science Monitor). 5.0 out of 5 stars Virginia Woolf at its best, June 17, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
If one likes Virginia Woolf writing this is just more of the same. Witty, intimate, profound... malicious at times, she is not nice, she is not tender, but why should she be? this is her diary so she is just honest with herself... she is hard, depressed, happy, interested, amused (and amusing)... Great read
