We bought this game for our family of 4. It claims to be 3 or more players, but it has to be played with at least 4 people, and even that doesn't seem like enough people. It requires the players to write their answers on paper, and then guess who wrote them. In our family, it is OBVIOUS who wrote what, so it took some of the fun out of guessing. You have to act out some "LY" words too, which were EXTREMELY hard for not only the kiddos, but for us parents too. (Words like "painfully", "cowardly", carelessly"...) The concept of the game is fun, but actually playing it is difficult. You have to keep the directions close by so you can reference what to do for each card. Still is a bit confusing even with the directions being read at every turn. We have loved the books and the movie, so this game really caught our attention. If I could have peeked inside the box before I purchased it, I could have saved myself some money by not buying it.

Just bought the game and played it for the first time with the family. The players' ages were 9, 11, 13, 33, and 38. We had a lot of fun. Highly recommend this game for family to play together and for older kids to play by themselves. Not good for younger kids to play on their own though. Some of the rules are hard to remember at first but then you get used to it. Need blank pieces of paper for each player to write down answers though.Worth the money!

Now we have seen the movie Diary of a Wimpy Kid, but haven't read the books. I don't think it matters if you have done either as the game is still fun and classic board game style. You have to guess whose answers are whose and he questions really get your group laughing and talking. I will say I wasn't able to fully play this game yet because my boys are too young (recommended 8 and up) and it really would be more fun with 4 or more players. You do have to write down your answers which can then be obvious who wrote them by the style of writing, which I wasn't a big fan of. There are also four different types of cards to choose from and it takes awhile to get used to what you need to do for each card. This would be a great family game though and especially perfect for any Diary of a Wimpy Kid fan!

If you have a 1st through 3rd grader living in your house who is a fan of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid books and movie, then it's likely your child will ask for this game. As one reviewer wrote, the instructions are quite detailed and complicated and you have to keep them close by to refer to them until you really understand the game. Overall, the game is pretty good and can get the family laughing. HOWEVER, I can't believe that the DO IT LIKE THIS cards were tested with the game's target market. The DO IT LIKE THIS cards are difficult for adults to guess, and therefore virtually impossible for 6 to 8 or 9 year olds. We've had to modify the game rules to deal with the DO IT LIKE THIS cards. Epic fail for DILT.

I bought this game as a gift for a family with children between the ages of 8 and 13. I expected for it to be a fun game considering how well written and enjoyable the books were. Right away we were disappointed when we realized that the game requires writing on slips of paper for each turn and paper was not included. I also felt that the directions were not well written and there were many different rules to remember. I found myself looking to the directions through the entire game and re explaining to the children. Overall the game was more painful than fun.

I played this game with my sister who is 21 and my two children ages 7&8. My sister and I enjoyed the game much more than the little ones, because some of the actions are too hard to understand.

My 9 yr old son is addicted to the wimpy kid books. The game turned out to be great fun for our entire family. It is like pictionary and movie trivia in one. I highly recommend this game if your kids are in to the books or movies!

All the kids in my elementary school are huge fans of the Wimpy Kid books, so I got this game to keep in the library for when there's extra time at the end of class and they need something to keep busy for a few minutes. The younger ones just like moving the pieces around the board, while the older ones really got into following the actual rules. One piece has broken, but for the amount of wear & tear the game has been put through I think that's pretty good. They were laughing and working together, so I was happy!

I got this game for my two sons (10 and 9) who both really love the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series of books and now the movies. When they got this game, they were excited to play. The instructions are easy to understand and make for a fun time for all. It is not a long drawn out game, it takes about 20 minutes to play. There are 5 different types of action cards which are a nice combination of things to do that get the adults and kids all laughing together, and UGH - DON'T GET THE CHEESE TOUCH!
