Among the best Silvio Rodriguez albums, October 31, 2003
This review is from: Dias Y Flores (Audio CD)
Along with "Rabo de Nube" and "Unicornio", "Dias y Flores" (Days and Flowers) ranks among the best albums ever recorded by Cuban trovadeur supreme Silvio Rodriguez. With a heavy political load in about half the songs (know what you're getting into before you delve into Silvio's music -this is a brilliant musician, but an open suporter of Fidel's communist regime as well), he presents an album that also contains some of the most sublime guitar & piano romantic songs you will ever hear. Even if your Spanish is not all that good, you only need to be a sensible person to not run away from his enchantment. From "La Verguenza", through "Sueño con Serpientes" and "Yo Digo que las Estrellas", and wrapping up with the outstanding "En el claro de la Luna" and the closing track that gives the album its title, Silvio is bound to make you stop and listen if nothing else... because if you let him, Silvio will set up a tent in your heart and make you sing out loud his ballads to your loved one looking at you down from her balcony. Give it a try, you won't regret it.

My favorites songs, March 27, 2010
This review is from: Dias Y Flores (Audio CD)
It is a great album overall but for me it is simple, in this album there are two songs that are just incredible: Dias y Flores and Playa Giron. They are two of my favorites songs ever (having in mind The Beatles, Pink Floyd, etc.)
