Takes good clear pictures.

Just took a snorkeling and diving (shallow dive, less than 25m) trip to the Great Barrier Reef and this case worked perfectly.

I dried it, and while the Velcro was still damp, no water made it inside.

This simply works great if you just want occasional underwater photos or video. We took lots of snorkeling video that was fun to share.

One caveat, if you open it you may get just a few drops of water inside that lead to condensation. I put it in the sun for a while and propped the ziplock portion open and it was good to go.

One minor issue is that the camera can shift a little to be off center relative to the glass and your images will get cropped. I didn't have the right materials with me but two pieces of foam for the end and bottom would help to keep the camera in the right location.

I tested it with the paper test and it worked fine. Still, I was a little iffy about using it for my Nikon Coolpix S6200 (I was debating on buying a few disposable water cameras) but seeing how it passed the paper test multiple times, I decided to risk it. I was so glad I did.

The squishy case allowed easy access to all the buttons. I was able to switch settings on the camera and preview pictures. The extension ring allowed me to zoom in to a certain extent. The neck strap made it easy to carry the camera around (since I would have lost it if I had to hold it the whole time.)

The con is that there can be a black ring around the pictures if you don't align it properly. If you align it, then it's no problem. The pictures can be hard to preview in bright places. It was fine in the shade though.

But I had my camera in the case for a good 6 hours and was able to keep my camera perfectly dry.
Best ~$22 I've ever spent.

I purchased this for a marine biology study abroad to the Bahamas. I was debating between buying a waterproof camera and this case, and I'm so glad I got this case! One girl had a Kodak waterproof camera that lasted two days before it filled with water, and another girl had a really expensive (around $400) waterproof camera that lasted a week before it filled with water. I have a beat up 5-year-old Kodak EasyShare and this case allowed me to take great pictures, in and out of the water. The case protected from harsh salt water, fresh water, sand, and dirt. We were snorkeling twice a day for about 2 hours at a time for a 3 week class and the case is still in perfect condition. The only negative is that if you use flash, you have to be careful to push the case over the flash or else it will just reflect off of the inside of the case and your picture will look awful, but this is not an issue in bright water or during the day (I had problems on a night snorkel and in a cave). All in all, I would definitely recommend buying this case, especially over a waterproof camera. Great product!!

I bought this case for my Canon Powershot SD1200. Sadly enough, my camera broke the day before I left for my trip. However, my sister-in-law used it instead because she has the same camera. I too tried it out.

Pros:
**No water go into the case
**The case is easy to seal
**The case has a wrist strap included
**Got some fabulous pictures

Cons:
**You do have to be careful to line the camera up in the case to make sure you don't get a black ring around your photos
**The zoom function on the camera was difficult to access at times because of the case

Overall, great price for what you get. Much better than settling to buy a cheap underwater camera!

This worked perfectly for my Canon PowerShot S100. We first tested it underwater in the sink without the camera and it was fine. Taking it snorkeling, it worked beautifully. The pictures came out great, and it was fine after diving down about 15 feet. Camera was completely dry once we got back on land.

The price was right so I took a gamble. As other reviewers have noted: the alignment on the lense portion of the case can create a halo effect that greatly depends on the design of your digital camera. Unfortunatly all my photos had this halo effect. Also, this bag was clearly not built to last. After taking my camera in-and-out of the bag a couple times the case started to break and water began leaking inside. Overall, I can say that (depending on the design of your camera) you can take some reasonably good photos using this product, but know that it will not last more than one or two vacations at best.

Purchased DicaPac WP-One before trip to Caribbean for my Panasonic Lumix S1 12mp camera. Camera fit perfectly into the housing although the plastic was a little sticky making the insertion a bit challenging. However, this was actually a plus. Once into the bag, the camera did not shift, keeping the lens well aligned with the lens housing. All the buttons were easily accessible. Primary complaint was inability to see the screen when using the camera but this may have been more a function of the camera than the bag. My camera stayed dry down to at least 20 feet. The pictures were excellent through the lexan lens without blurring or vignetting. Excellent performance. Not sure I would risk an expensive camera camera in the bag but it worked exceedingly well. I didn't this time but I would also probably put some absorbent packets in the bag just in case a leak occurs. Would a dedicated waterproof camera be better? Certainly worth considering but if you already have a camera, for less than 30 bucks it becomes a great all-environment camera.
