Definately kept camera or anything in case dry. However, even with space for lens to extend when turning on - you need to adjust location of camera in case inside to make sure there is room for the lens to open.

I was a little reluctant before buying but this actually worked pretty well. No water in the camera and the pictures were not bad using it
