There are two types of monolingual dictionaries. One is the reference dictionary for who is familiar with the language. The others is the learning dictionary that helps foreigner's learn the language featuring providing the defintions with limited vocabularies, usage explanations and examples. The Longman and Collins lead the market for the Enlish language, Langensheid for German, Larouss for French. Vox for Spanish. The only monolingua reference dictionary for learning Spanish.It deserves.
